Pool consumes about 1gal bleach per day in this weather.
If I put in 2 gal, will it last 2 days?
If I put in 3 gal, will it last 3 days?
or
Does it not work that way?

all the FC you add above the saturation for your CYA level will be not be well protected from the sun by the stabilizer. Higher FC levels will degrade faster. (and, higher % above CYA level). there is a chem geek chart with the curves on it..

The short answer is no, it doesn't work that way. The higher you raise the FC, the faster it goes down. Plus, you'll be raising it above high limits which is not good for you, or the equipment.
