green tinge to water

I just put up an Intex soft wet set pool. Put in chlorine and shock and now the water is green. What to do?

Add more chlorine. Without a set of test results, I would simply be guessing as to how much to add but your problem is algae and chlorine klills it.

Just put up, like within an hour of putting up the pool and filling it and adding chlorine/shock? If it's a short time like that, then it's a chemical reaction most likely from metals (copper) in the water.

It is a good idea to shock new water, green or not. Then you can see how the color changes and decide if further action is needed.

Thanks. I actually put the pool up 3 days ago and filled it with well water. Just put the chemicals in today and then the green tinge became apparent. My testing strips say it is fine.
