Hayward H150 Heater Part - What is it?

Hi Everyone,

I took my heater (Hayward H150 natural gas) apart to look at a heat exchanger leak the other day. When I put everything back together, there is a small piece of sheet metal that I cant figure out where it goes. It is not on the manual diagrams either. Does anybody know where in the heater it gets installed? I attached a picture of it. Thank you. -Sean

Is it part of the rain protection that goes under the lover top?

OK, if this is an H150EDI or ED2, which I think it is looking back at old picture's, it seems to be one of the side panels or there is the piece right under the top that has a deflector plate. Hope I helped.
