PH or Alkalinity First???????

​My ph and alkalinity are both low. Which do I try to adjust first?

PH all the way! Get it up fast as a low PH will cause damage to your equipment. TA is the last thing you worry about.

How are you testing your water?

Thank you. That's what I started with using borax but I started to question myself. We are draining and adding water a little at a time to decrease the cya and my fill water always has a lower ph. Using these methods is new to me and I and questioning the way I have always done things.

Yes, definitely PH first. Soda ash will raise PH and TA. Borax raises PH with not much TA increase.
