Conflicting information when replacing spider gasket (Praher SM20-2)

I'm in the process of replacing the spider gasket on a Praher SM20-2.
Tried searching the site, and internet, but I'm getting conflicting information on the following areas:

1) Does the ribbed side of the gasket go up, or down?

2) Do I use the Permatex Blue RTV Silicone gasket maker, or Silicone Adhesive to secure it?

3) Do I wait 1 hour after installation to start the pump again, or 24 hrs?
