Proof this method works

June 2013. Cya level of 155. Constant algae problems, adding Dichlor, using chlorine pucks in auto chlorinator.
Began reading TFP and the relationship between cya/chlorine.
Rest of summer did partial drains 3 times and switched to liquid chlorine. Had some trouble with PH getting high. Got the cya down to about 90.

Summer 2014 cya of 60-70 after winter . Had leaking auto chlorinator removed (against pool builders wishes!). One algae outbreak when I let chlorine get too low during week of rain and no swimming.

Summer 2015 cya of ZERO after another winter partial drain and much snowfall. Added stabilizer to level of 30-40. Add 1/2 to 1 jug of chlorine per day as needed by testing. Have not had algae despite an incredibly rainy June where we drained the pool down a few inches every other day and had to add more stabilizer because of all the rain replacing the pool water. PH is perfect at 7.4 and hasn't moved all summer.

If you are reading pool forum and wondering if this method works, I can tell you IT DOES. If you test and know your levels your pool will not be fighting against you all season. You will enjoy having a pool again!

Thanks TFP
