Deck Bid

My former brother in law does construction. He can build us a 12'X16' deck for the ultra frame, complete with stairs, railing and wooden lattice at the bottom for $2500. using pressure treated lumber. Does that sound reasonable? I can't remember how much we paid 15 years ago for the deck off the back of our house, but it is smaller, anyway. I thought it seemed like a ffair price, and he does good, quality work, just thought I'd see if it was in line with other areas.

The best way to confirm the bid is to get a couple of more bids from reputable contractors in your area. I know my sister-in-law would have a deck that size built in her area for about half that and my brother in his area would probably pay more than twice that where he lives
