Just wanted to say how awesome this site is! I have owned an above ground pool for about 10 years and used to maintain it using pool store methods and blindly tossing in powdered shock.
Obviously that wasn't very reliable and I wasted alot of time and money fighting to keep things balanced.

Just started using the TFP and BBB system along with a Taylor K-2006 test kit a few weeks ago. I am amazed at the difference! I had some green cloudy water driving me nuts , and I used the SLAM method and couldn't believe that it worked so well! Only took 3 days to get the pool straightened out after SLAM'ing!

Woohoo! I'd say you lucked out with a 3 day SLAM as that certainly isn't typical. Usually takes longer, but I bet your pool wasn't too far gone, just needed the right kind of attention.
