85 degree pool

Hi, welcome to TFP! As long as the chlorine is in the correct range for your CYA level you don't need to worry about the water temperature. We suggest you keep the chlorine on the high end of the range so it doesn't fall too low when the pool is in use.

Keep the FC at the proper level for your CYA. Ideal CYA range 30-60 PPM. Higher CYA level is flirting with algae if you don't keep FC high enough. Keep PH around 7.5 Read about it in Pool School on this forum.
I live in Tucson and pool will get over 90 degrees (luckily our 105 degree afternoons cool by 25 degrees or so overnight or it would be worse), have never had algae.
