FC 5 pH 7.5 TA 80 CH 475 CYA 80
New plaster pool still 'curing'. Have to add 3 cups muriatic acid every 2-3 days to keep pH between 7.5 and 7.8
Going away for week. Don't feel comfortable asking neighbor to handle acid for me.
DO I over compensate and bring Ph low and have it float back up to normal over the week, or do I let pH go high and push it back down when I get home?
In other words what's worse, a low pH or a high pH?
I know acidic water no good for pipes ad equipment but worried about scaling with a high pH and a CH of 475.
Not worried about chlorine- I have a SWG.
