If I don't have a Polaris hookup, can I still use a robot vacuum? This may sound like a dumb question, but I've never owned a pool before, so there you go.
Robot cleaners require no special plumbing to run. They run only on electricity. All you need is a GFCI outlet that you can plug the robot's power supply into near the pool. Each robot comes with it's own power supply. It's similar to a vacuum with a cord that you'd use in the house, but obviously is self-propelled. There are also wireless versions that would run much like a robotic vacuum cleaner with no power cord, but I have no experience with those.
