Blue and Cloudy

have been fighting swampy pool all summer. Currently water is blue but cloudy. Here are latest data (just got my tf-100 today):
pH 7.2
TC 2.0
FC 1.5
CC 0.5
CH 300
TA 120
CYA 30
Salt 2800

any advice is appreciated.

Turn off the SWG and follow the directions on SLAMing your pool in the How To section of Pool School and follow that procedure completely to the end.

• CC is 0.5 or lower;
  
• You pass an OCLT (ie overnight FC loss test shows a loss of 1.0 ppm or less);
  
• The water is clear.

When all three are true, you are done SLAMing and can allow the FC to drift down to normal levels.

What is in the past is history, don't worry about it. Just think of the cash you will save going forward.

Welcome to TFP! Unlike many, your chemistry parameters are near perfect to begin your SLAM. Your gonna need some regular non-smell good, non splashless, non germicidal plain old walmart brand 8.5% bleach. I would start with 20 or so gallons. Pour in about 3 or 4 gallons of bleach, wait about 30 minutes and test your FC. This should raise your FC to 12 or so. Test your free chlorine as often as possible and bring your FC back up to 12. Keep doing this until your CC are less than 0.5, your pass the OCLT and you water is crystal clear. Remember to brush your pool during the SLAM and keep your filter running 24/7. Be patience with the process and you won't regret switching to the TFP method!
