Thanks, my first pool build, next project is roof mounted solar, and swap out all waste pipe to proper pool piping..and decking. Only issue I have at the moment is rain/splash water collecting around the pool, need a way to sort it..

Just getting my 9x18 set up too. I will install the skimmer tomorrow and finish filling. So i have a skimmer question for you.
From what i can see I like the high positioning of your skimmer. For your skimmer install did you bolt through the seam or just at the edge?

Bolts through the seam, also cut out the bottom drain and fitted the intex suction drain on there so i can balance between top skimmer or bottom outlet or both 
Skimmer vacuum plate, i just drop it in the skimmer when it's sunny, other end is in the pool.. Not optimal, but works for now until i've got the proper solar system mounted on the roof of the house.

Did you reinforce the location for your bottom drain?Bolts through the seam, also cut out the bottom drain and fitted the intex suction drain on there so i can balance between top skimmer or bottom outlet or both

I gotcha, you cut out the garden hose drain and installed the 40mm intex fitting.:bowdown:
