Yesterday evening I let out some water using the waist setting since it was pouring down rain. This morning the level looked low compared to how much rain we got. So, I replenished some not thinking much about it. Just now I looked out and the level was a good 5-6" less than 12 hours ago and enough to lose prime in my pump. The pump was still running. So, hopefully it's not toast. Clearly I've got a leak but where and what might have caused it?

Yep; I'm thinking (hoping) it might just be the spider gasket in the multi-port valve. In the recent past while in the waste setting I've seen "dirt" going back into the pool via the returns. I'm refilling the pool now and will confirm if the water is in fact going out the waste hose while the valve is in the filter setting.
