Ascorbic Acid

Followed ascorbic acid treatment for pool stain on floor and walls.
First, CYA high, so did a partial drain, refill. Got the chlorine down to
0 and PH down. Ordered 1# of ascorbic acid (why we didn't order more,
I don't know). Applied the 1# and also by TFP did the poly quat algaecide
with 16oz. Pool water looked good (actually always looks good), didn't notice
any stain leaving, so ordered more, which hasn't arrived yet, because of holiday.
The last two days, the pool is getting cloudy, added another 1c algaecide, this
am another 1c.....and brushing. The stain is a lot lighter, unless we can't see because
of the cloudiness. We are wondering if we should wait for more acid, or start the
sequester, followed by the chlorine, as we are worried about being without chlorine
and the pool getting worse than cloudy. Any suggestions?
thx

If it was me, I'd go ahead and finish the treatment that you started, so that you can get some chlorine in the pool. Especially if it's going to take a few days or more to get the rest of the AA in. Then you'll just need to do another separate treatment. That seems an easier task then potentially slamming the pool if you get an algae outbreak.
