Thank you for your input, Qwaxalot. I think at this time we are leaning towards staying with the mesh cover, but possibly upgrading it to the deluxe UV blocking one, and planning on a late closing and early opening each season.

The instructions in the link say that I should plug the inlets and outlets. What would I use to do this? I don't have any plugs. I'm guessing these would be plugs used during winterizing the pool? Our PB will be coming to do this at the end of the season. How important is it that I use plugs...

Have you considered Valley Pools in Palmyra? I am in Lancaster and looking for an in-ground pool. I have not contacted Valley Pools as I am first considering a PB closer to me, but I might end up calling them for a quote. If you have contacted them, any thoughts you could share?
