    Would you repurchase your dolphin?

I had a Pentair Warrior SE that I absolutely loved, until it quit just outside of warranty. A $700 robot (now $850) needing a $450 repair after two years puts a bad taste in my mouth. That said, Pentair was gracious enough to send me parts for free, so I'm very thankful for that! However...

2 year old Warrior SE not working

My new motor unit came in yesterday. Now I need to order some magic lube II so I can try to seal it better before installing it.

    Pb4 booster pump voltage

The 280 is shaft driven. How often do you need to replace belts or bearings?

    Pb4 booster pump voltage

From my limited research, the 280 is their most simple, basic, and longest lasting with the least maintenance cleaner. That was my biggest reason for considering the 280. I don't want something else that's gonna need major repairs every 2 years. The one that was in this pool when we took it...

    Pb4 booster pump voltage

Pressure is what I meant to say, I just misspoke. I'll probably get the Polaris 280.

    Pb4 booster pump voltage

I removed my booster pump a long while back, rewired it for 110v use and put a 110v 20 amp plug on the end of it, so that I could use it for other things (I was using a robot and no longer using the pressure cleaner). I'm now probably going to buy a pressure cleaner and go back to that. Is...

Dolphin S200 runs only a few seconds at a time, then shuts down

I just went through this, and Marina had nothing to do with the warranty process, although I bet at 2.5 years you won't get much warranty assistance. My cleaner is Pentair branded, so I had to work directly with Pentair. They were not interested in shipping the cleaner to them, but rather...

Robot Vacuums - So Many Questions!

I do wonder if the Pentair Warrior is cheaper though. For whatever reason. It's the only way I can be sure I've compared my apple to another apple. 😂🫣 $160 increase in two years...😔

Robot Vacuums - So Many Questions!

I also vote to call Marina. Their prices will be the best. I bought my Warrior SE (s200) for $700 two years ago from them. I'd be curious what their price is now.

    Robotic cleaner

My experience was that I dealt directly through Pentair for warranty, Marina really didn't have anything to do with it. They attempted twice to set me up with a work order at local-ish pool stores. Both of which ghosted us so eventually they decided to send me parts, so I can repair myself...

Polaris Quattro to appease my pool service?

With TFP methods, no pool company is needed 🙂. If frequently being away for a period of time is the concern, I think a Stehner pump could solve that. They aren't super cheap, but I would think they're cheaper than paying a pool company to come out. I have one. Over a short period of time I...

    Robotic cleaner

I don't remember getting a paper receipt (although maybe I did) but my S/N was not on the e receipt or invoice I got from ordering it online. They also could not look it up for me. They could give me a Maytronics serial number, but not a Pentair S/N, which is what Pentair needed for my Warrior.

Robot Vacuums - So Many Questions!

I can't imagine needing, or wanting, more in a robot than what my Warrior SE (S200 variant) had to offer. My pool is 20x40 @ 30,000 gallons. It's surrounded by Leland Cypress trees and two Crepe Myrtles, which put debris in the pool year round. After a storm Xena REALLY had her work cut out for...

Polaris 360 with 3/4 HP pump?

For some reason everybody around me has always called the Polaris pressure cleaners a rover. Old habit I guess. Thanks for the insight!

Polaris 360 with 3/4 HP pump?

I believe you're saying that, since I'll have to divert all of my flow to drive the Rover, I won't get adequate circulation through my pool, won't move enough water to get proper filtration, etc. Is that correct? And, if so, if I were ever to have a larger pump would that change?

Polaris 360 with 3/4 HP pump?

It quit at 2 years and 1 month. It fails the test cycle now, and seems to be due to the impeller motor. Pentair is sending me a new motor unit, but I want another type of cleaner to use in the off season, and perhaps to use during the swim season also to take some of the load off the robot. I...

Polaris 360 with 3/4 HP pump?

I don't completely understand. I thought it was a given that I'll divert most or all of the water to the cleaner. Are you saying it still won't function properly due to the 3/4 pump? I would no longer be circulating enough water? I did understand that it is not compatible with a booster pump...

2 year old Warrior SE not working

I have a few formidable wrinkles in my liner, and it does get stuck on those sometimes. It approaches with enough force to push the leading edge over, then high centers. I've yet to see it drive itself off when that happens. That's okay though, because those shouldn't even be there. I hope to...

Polaris Robot - using the unused pressure sided plumbing from old sweeper

Some of the pump room plumbing has obviously been redone over the years when pumps were replaced and whatnot, but what's underground has not (as far as I know). My point was really just that it's been buried there a long time, longer than me, and I have no idea exactly what's under there...nor...

Polaris Robot - using the unused pressure sided plumbing from old sweeper

I'm not real sure. I had read that it's typical for booster pump>pressure cleaner port to be 3/4 but I don't know. The port on the wall is screwed to the wall. Removing it would require removing those screws, but I could certainly do that. I've never peered into it but I'll have a look some...

Polaris Robot - using the unused pressure sided plumbing from old sweeper

Interesting. I have not considered converting my pressure port to a suction port. I'm a decent plumber, that would be a relatively easy and cheap project. My pressure port plumbing is either 3/4 or 1" pipe. Would that be an issue? (IDK what size suction port cleaner plumbing typically is, but...

Pentair Warrior SE directional actuator problems

I would be furious if I only ran the cleaner every 4-6 weeks and only got 2.5 years out of it. That equates to very little usage. I'll be disassembling mine soon, maybe when I get in there I will learn something of value for you.

2 year old Warrior SE not working

It's all already diverted. In the first clip I posted, I feel like it was moving around at a pretty good pace. The reviews cautioned against making it run too fast, saying it would drive over debris and not pick it up. How does that ground speed compare to your old Intex cleaner? I wish Intex...

2 year old Warrior SE not working

I have a pressure port for a pressure cleaner. This is running off of one of the regular return jets (eyeball removed and adapted). This is a pressure cleaner that runs off a return side jet. Did I state something somewhere about a suction port or suction cleaner? If I did I was mistaken and...

    Robot Recommendation

I would get hair wrapped around my impeller frequently, and need to partially disassemble the unit to remove the impeller and clear that. I suspect that may have something to do with the impeller motor failing at two years. Not sure what I could do about it though, besides tell the girls to stay...

Robot Vacuums - So Many Questions!

I have a Pentair Warrior SE (rebranded S200). It sure did make life easy. It cleans very well, did a great job. However, it died on me a month out of warranty (2years and one month). Pentair was gracious enough to warranty me anyway, so no complaints with them and how they handled that for me...

    Maytronics Dolphin Drive Motor

A hobby of mine since I was about 13 has been RC vehicles. One of my favorite types is trail/crawler trucks and I do run them through water or mud from time to time. Most of those electronics are waterproof out of the box these days, but I have also waterproofed some of my own rigs before it...

Supposedly the Lelands are nearing the end of their typical life span. I can't wait until they start dying and I can remove them all.

Surrounded by mature 50' tall Leland Cypress trees, and where the arrows are tow very large Crepe Myrtles. Also a cedar and a magnolia that you can't see.
