Same here, and so glad there is a robot which will provide some competition in this space. Hopefully it will have greater longevity than the Maytronics products (Dolphin et al) which will only increase the Evo's value, and force Maytronics to up their game.

Sorry about your SE. I purchased one about 2 weeks ago and it's been going strong thus far. I was hoping the SE would be better than the earlier versions, but maybe not. At least I have the 3 year warranty.

Thanks Jim. Are you referring to the 604 or 614 in your response? I know the 604 doesnt have its own app, but I'm wondering if it can be controlled by a 3rd party app. BTW great review!

Any idea whether the 604 can be controlled via a 3rd party smart plug and app, like the Maytonics robots? I normally pull my Dolphin out of the water after each use when I'm home, but when the missus and I go on vacation I leave the bot in the pool and set a schedule via the smart plug/app.

It's a Crud shoot. Luckily your pool is not an all-year one like those of us have in the warmer climes, so maybe not as often. You and me both. I've said many times if they could 1) improve reliability, and 2) implement non-solar charging capability, they'd have a goldmine.

Thanks @Bam Bam . The paddle wheel is not turning, nor is the small red wheel inside the Betta (the one that turns the gear on the debris basket which moves the paddle). This wheel can be turned by hand fairly easily, but it's not turning when the Betta is in the water. I put a little WD-40...

My v1 Betta is moving about the pool, but the surface debris isn't entering the basket! The debris just gets pushed forward by the Betta, and ive never observed this behavior before. Anyone ever see this?

Thanks for the pic. I believe your cleaner is a pressure side cleaner, no? A suction side cleaner I *think* has a different hose, of a greater diameter, but not sure.

Dirk I think your pool is in some sort of bubble that prevents all foreign material from permeating in:p.

I'm trying to remember the steps. Turn pump off, then take hose off of both ends of the canister. Remove canister from pool, take top off and empty. Then reconnect to hoses and restart pump?
