    Hello

Doesn't matter, glad you found us! Welcome to TFP! :wave: I think your protocol is working fine. You might want to get some CYA and add a sufficient amt to get you to 40 or 50 ppm. That way your chlorine will hold better. (I read your other post.) Remember, a pool's a pool no...

    Nice to meet you

Welcome to TFP!   I recommend reading to get a good understanding of what we do and how we do it. One caveat, though: our methods are not those of the average public pool.

    Fairly New Pool owner

Welcome to TFP!   Stay away from the pool store! Read , get your own test kit, like the TF-100 or the Taylor K2006-C (that C is important), and do your own testing. Pool store testing is famously inaccurate. That and will set you up for living life the TFP way!

Never thought I'd own a pool.

If you truly have mustard algae, you'll have to follow the mustard algae protocol as described in this post. It's basically bringing your FC up to a crazy level after a normal SLAM and holding it there for 24 hrs. Worked for me! And welcome to TFP!

Hello I am 75 year old grandfather and have 22' Intex pool. It is my 3rd Intex pool and this pool is in it's 5th season. South West VA

Yes, please post pics in the appropriate forum! I suggest the Aboveground Pool section. I had minor rust starting on my 2 year old BestWay pool this year. I cleaned it with a wire brush, then painted it with Rust-Oleum Rust Converter and Rust-Oleum exterior enamel. Still looking good!

Hello and welcome to TFP! You need to bring your CYA up to 30 - 40 using the sock method @Newdude explained in your other thread, then check to see what your max-min FC should be. Add enough liquid chlorine to bring your pool up to the max, and never let it drop below the min. Add enough FC...
