Ballpark on how much liquid chlorine to buy for ~26,000 gallon pool to last a month?

The pool inspector I had check it out said I can't do SWG, because my pool has copper pipes and it will corrode them much fast. Is there any truth to this? Replacing the piping sounds $$$ digging up everything and repairing the concrete pad.

Ballpark on how much liquid chlorine to buy for ~26,000 gallon pool to last a month?

The cheapest liquid chlorine for me is Leslies that is $8.50 a gallon, so $258 per month, $3103 per year. Pool guy here is cheaper than that, and provides chems. I mean I want to do the TFP method, but when the pool dude is cheap, it just doesn't make sense. Am I missing something here? Is...

Ballpark on how much liquid chlorine to buy for ~26,000 gallon pool to last a month?

I tried the TFP pool method on my last pool and did it for two months, managed to keep it nice and clean. But I found a pool guy that did a good job and was cheap enough to just switch for less of my time spent. I got a new house now with a pool, and want to try TFP method again. The new pool...

New pool, just got tested, how many gallons am I? (Pics)

Thanks I had a feeling they were probably wildly off. Yeah its about 8' deep. I do plan on doing it myself. I have been reading through the ABCs and other articles. I do have a question about "How to Chlorinate Your Pool", so whats typically the best buy on liquid chlorine, household...

New pool, just got tested, how many gallons am I? (Pics)

I just bought a house with a pool and brought a sample to the local store for a free test. The water is clear, there is a little yellow/brown "dirt" that comes right off when you brush it with your feet. The pool I think was left alone for the 3 weeks in escrow, then the owner came back and...

Buying house with pool: Liner age and when to replace? Pool inspector?

The stairs have an issue, any idea how much this might cost to repair? I am wondering if maybe it leaks from the upper damaged area, water level was at that height, but then again the water level was still at a height where the skimmer was working.

Buying house with pool: Liner age and when to replace? Pool inspector?

Different house: Hows this equipment look? It was on and running quietly when I was there. Pool liner was faded but looked like it was in good shape. How much should I expect for a diving board? Pool is 8-9' deep according to owner, it is the deep end sort.

Buying house with pool: Liner age and when to replace? Pool inspector?

We passed on that home and are looking at another. I am looking at one now that the liner was replaced in 2013. It does show a bunch of fading, but I don't see any other issues like cracking. It looks smooth, water is crystal clear. Equipment runs smoothly, they had everything on when I came...

Buying house with pool: Liner age and when to replace? Pool inspector?

Thanks Good idea, I'll try that, they say the pump is 3 years old. I think its a typical sand(?) filter. Not salt. One pump that I know of. I'll see if I can get permission from the owner to turn on all the equipment. Assuming I see water moving and nothing is leaking or dirt water coming...

Buying house with pool: Liner age and when to replace? Pool inspector?

My wife and I have been talking about buying a house with a pool for years. I grew up with a pool and her best friend had a pool, so naturally we want a pool! In the area with live in now, liner pools are pretty much the only option if we want an inground pool. I have been looking at a few...
