    Checking Chlorine w Stenner

I have had my Stenner for 1-1/2 months and am really happy with the performance (replaced a Liquidator). I have the Stenner on a cheap timer with 1/2 hr increments and had it running for 5 hrs (80 oz) a day maintaining 5.0-5.5 FC. I filled up my tank (reused my LQ tank) and went on vacation for...

    Stenner Run Time

My Stenner has only been running for a week but seems to be holding FC at 5-6 ppm. I have a cheap ($15) timer that only allows 1/2 hr adjustments and I am running my 45MHP2 @ full volume for 5-1/2 hrs in the middle of my 8 hr (11a - 7p) filter pump run time. I expect I will have to add Stenner...

    Stenner 45MHP2 Pump Install

Thanks for the help. I will tie my Stenner into my mechanical Intermatic timer which controls the filter pump so that the Stenner only runs when the pump is on. I ordered the 45MHP2 adjustable pump. My reasoning was that I will try to run the Stenner at 100% and set the pump timer to inject the...

    Stenner 45MHP2 Pump Install

I am ready to order a Stenner Pump to upgrade my bleach addition system from the Liquidator. Is there an advantage to upgrade the supplied tubing from 1/4" to 3/8"? I will go with the black tubing but do not understand what difference the tubing size will make. Also, I'm planning on reusing the...

Liquidator losing prime + found flow indicator

I have been using the liquidator for 4 years with only minor problems. My 1/4" tubing has begun cracking and I decided to upgrade to 3/8" while replacing the tubing. My Liquidator, filter and pump are above the water level of my IG pool and I have had (rare) problems of the LQ outlet (connected...

LQ- dilution % cycling over time

Another method to consider. I have an all original LQ and have set the flow control to approx 3.5, after that I do not adjust the flow control because I consider it is difficult to gauge the adjustment. I run my pump two periods a day and adjust the time on to get a constant FC reading (at the...

    Liquidator "WS" Poll

Looking thru the replies to this thread, of the 10 people who replied with a message, 9 said the WS had no effect on the operation of their LQ. The other 1 did not indicate an effect or not. Does this indicate that the WS is more of a cosmetic problem? I think keithw is the longest user who...

    Liquidator "WS" Poll

I have visible (but slight) WS in my LQ after about 6 weeks but no buildup on the valves nor in the tubing. Most of the WS is on the valve floats. I have not seen an accumulation of anything on the bottom of the LQ. I use 6% store brand bleach. I have 40-50ppm Borates.

    Liquidator Install Help

My situation is like yours, above water level and I did not install either check valve. Mine works great. I'd remove the check valve, it could be stuck closed.

    Liquidator installation thoughts and comments

After 2 days of LQ operation my FC varied from 3.0 to 3.2 (who knew I could test so accurately) testing every 4 hours during a sunny day. How cool is that!!

    Liquidator installation thoughts and comments

LQ Installed I finally got my LQ installed last night. I used the pump strainer drain adapter fitting (from HD) and had everything hooked up in about half an hour. I ran the filter overnight and tested midday today and it seems to be working great. I'll just have to continue to test and adjust...

    Liquidator installation thoughts and comments

Liquidator is on order! Has anyone done any research on a UV blocking coating for their tank? From looking online it seems as if marine varnish has UV blockers/absorbers in it, would that work? My filter is in the sun for about half the day and I hate to build something to shield LQ. The other...

    Liquidator installation thoughts and comments

More good news about the Liquidator! From the Hasa website it looks like the difference between the residential and commercial model tank is only height and the flow control valve is the same. What are the WxDxH dimensions for the tanks and is the flow control valve the same (seems the...

    Liquidator installation thoughts and comments

Thanks. 8 gallons would give me about two weeks since I like to keep my CYA around 30 and FCL at about 3. I also keep borates at 50 thanks to Waterbears great experimental work. I don't spend a lot of time keeping the pool great, but I would like to make it a simple as possible so I can recruit...

    Liquidator installation thoughts and comments

The pump primes within seconds so it is not a problem with normal operations, I just didn't want to drain all the bleach every time the pump shuts off. Since I am obviously lazy, will the commercial model work as well on a residential size pool and give me more time between refills or will I be...

    Liquidator installation thoughts and comments

I have been considering the Liquidator and everything looks positive. I Emailed the Liquidator website the following question last week and have not gotten a reply. My pump and filter are about 2 feet above water level and the pump basket drains back into the pool when the pump is off, will this...
