Landscaping around base of Intex Ultra Frame pools

I am going to put sand up against the walls of my intex & then do smooth gravel instead of mulch. I am afraid of using any plants in the landscaping. Worried about the roots

    intex 16ftx32ftx52in install

i did it with a full pool. I wanted to make sure the liner was stretched properly. Completely install the skimmer before making any cuts. Do not cut the white seam that goes around the top.

    NEWB with an AG question...

are you talking about the 16ftx32ftx52in rectangular? If so I did not feel the 2650 that I had was turning over the water enough. I may have been wrong & over thinking everything, but upgrading to a hayward pump & sand filter just made me feel better. I loved the 2650 on my 16ft round & I have...

    intex 16ftx32ftx52in install

ask as many questions as you need :) I had actually forgotten about my problems with the skimmer. Yes I kept the hydro tools wide mouth skimmer, but the screws from fastenal did not work. When I was trying to tighten them down to stop leaks they did not hold. I went back to the original screws...

Pool Newbies with a big leaf problem! And questions...

the intex sand filter pump (especially the 2650) is strong enough to run a pool vac. Sand filters filter your water better & no more cartridge filters to replace

Pool Newbies with a big leaf problem! And questions...

definitely upgrade your pump. If you want to stick with an Intex pump do yourself a favor & go with one of the sand filter pumps

    intex 16ftx32ftx52in install

to go from the intex fittings I used a trick i learned on this board.. A 1 1/2 inch conduit box adapter (found in the electrical area of hardware store) will fit inside one of the connectors from the Intex hoses. You then glue 1 1/2 in PVC pipe to this adapter. Go to the post in this link...

planning the install of 12x24x52 intex pool

There was a good post on here where someone uploaded a nice picture\layout of the leg placement for the rectangular pool. It showed the exact location for the legs. I will keep looking for it, but according to Intex you are correct with the measurements

    Stupid Mistake

I agree with linen. the round intex pools can be jacked up just enough to get a block under them.

    leveling intex pool

i think the floor underlayment may be to thin. You want to go with at least a 1/2in thick polystyrene foam board. If not thicker. I agree with what the others have said, it sounds like the clay may be wet. Here in NC I had to deal with white clay. If it is wet, very slick.. dry it is rock hard...

    leveling intex pool

We had about a 12 inch difference from one end to the other when we started leveling. As far as your idea for the pavers, problem is the entire area where the liner sits needs to be level. Not just the area where the legs will be going. Also putting down sand to level the entire area will not...

planning the install of 12x24x52 intex pool

if you leave the grass it will rot & you may be faced with a terrible odor for a short amount of time. A lot of people here remove the grass completely ahead of time. Also the feet/supports for this pool do not sit at exactly 12x24. Someone posted the exact measurements & placement of the feet...

Parts needed to mod a 2650 sandfilter

in the link that linen posted, look for the post from Rªzª on June 14, 2011.. that is the method I used. Very simple. The part you are looking for is a 1 1/2 conduit box adapter. You will then take one of the connectors off of an Intex hose & slide over this adapter before gluing on your PVC...

    Slightly unlevel???

if it is an inch or less you should not have a problem. The ultra frame pools are pretty sturdy so pushing off the sides with their feet shouldnt cause any issues

Installing a fountain in a Intex Ultra Frame

the picture above looks like an intex suction port, not a return jet. On all the intex returns that I have, if you unscrew the "eyeball" there is a smooth opening in the center that you may be able to force a piece of PVC into Like what crookm11 did in this thread...

    intex rectangle pool 12'x24'x52"

I had read enough posts about the sidewalls that the bowing didnt worry me, but the corners did. I thought they were going to slide out of the top rail. dont worry, the corners will adjust themselves as the pool gets full At full capacity the corners will be able to slide back & forth a little...

    intex rectangle pool 12'x24'x52"

that is exactly how mine looked until it was completely full it is part of the weird intex design Even completely full it may have a slight bow to it half full almost full

New Intex 26' Ultra Frame Owners

yes, you will want something on the end of the PVC pipe. I used an additional Intex suction port that has the mesh on it. This keeps the suction pressure to a minimum. I dont know if it is beneficial or not but I placed mine as close I could to the bottom.

dont worry, it will straighten out. I have the 16x32x52 and it wasnt until the last couple of inches before it straightened out

One of the blocks broke under the leg :( what now?

i dont know about that size, but on my 16x32 I was unable to jack it up due to the weight of the water. Even with it down to only 1/4 full. If the block was in the center you could probably get away with draining a portion of your pool. Also with the design of the liner on the rectangular intex...

    intex 16ftx32ftx52in install

I removed the original intex "drain" from the side wall & used it. I now use that bottom drain for the vac hook up. I use the adapter that was originally used for the over the wall intex skimmer hose. Using a female to female rubber sleeve that they normally use for DWV repairs to connect the...
