Wow its a hot one here today.. Samson was the first in the pool this morning and he came out with the sorest red eyes..... It wasn't until then I realised I'd forgotten all about TA.... I did the test, lucky I did..... My TA was at 70 which is way too low and my pH had blown out to over 8.2...

Hi Kim Kats, yup that's what they do... I don't mind it takes a couple of days, as when they play with it too aggressively it just leaves the powder on the bottom of the pool in the corners... So it should be done by this afternoon... I've still got good chlorine levels... I'm about to go test...

The best part is, when I pull it down and store it this year, it will be much easier to set up as I've used the best connections.... Pretty happy with it....

YAY... TOTAL SUCCESS..... We no longer have a suction leak.... The pool is totally working now... I've just balanced the water... And just in time, its going to be 36 degrees Celsius here tomorrow and Sunday, perfect pool weather.... Not a single air bubble in the pump AT ALL.... We used more...

Yay, we are closer than ever before.... I still have a tiny suction leak... But I've got the Brute Squad coming over to help repair it... Its definitely not the pump, I don't think the hose clamps are tight enough so I've called for hubby's large best mate... :) He should be here in 15...

Ah I just want to add, that we used Soudal brand PVC pipe Priming Fluid and Soudal PVC Pipe Cement, type P for pressure... So we have to wait the full 24 hours for full curing..... And plumbing tape around all screw in connections, wrapping the tape around the connection at least 5 times....

Rightio... We went back to Reece's plumbing this afternoon and they offered another solution to the leaking pump.... The first connections they did for us, are BRILLIANT and are the only ones not leaking so they hooked us up with more... I'm very happy with the solution..... We just have to...

First problem... I think I know where the leaks are coming from and its the pump... :( The hardest thing to fix on a pool, it means stripping everything off it and starting again... These set backs are what deters me from setting this thing up as we have such a short summer where I live... it...

The only way you will know for sure, is to make sure the pump is full of water and turn it back on..... I've done the same thing, but my pump still worked... Give it a go, but make sure its full of water....

I put mine in a sock and tie it to the side of the pool and let the kids keep squeezing it every so often... it dissolves in a few days.... :)

Well my kids have stuffed it up for everyone.... They have bent one side of the pool and we are in the process of draining it completely.... The pool liner is now pressing on one side of the pool as they've buckled the side..... We are not putting it back up again as I cannot use another 18000...

Rightio..... After much stuffing around, the pool cartridge is not leaking and either is the pump.... Now I just have to isolate the suction leaks.... :( I'm tired of the laws and regulations here in Australia with above ground pools, so next year hopefully I will have the pool that all...

I cannot get a win today... The barrel unions that are attached to the cartridge filter are leaking... Not the new connections I've made, but the barrel unions that screw into the filter..... My pump connections leak really badly too, so I guess I'm headed back to Reece Irrigation to get to the...
