    Concrete slide bubbling up

I have a gunite/concrete slide that was installed in late 2015. It's been resurfaced three or four times and nothing has lasted over a year. The last time they came out, they sanded all coating off the chute, filled the cracks with a thin water-stop cement, and coated with Minwax Paste Finishing...

Is My Pool Deck to Narrow for Rocks Next to It?

I used 3/4" Arizona River Rock in a section around my deck. I haven't had any problems with rock sticking to feet or getting into the pool. It's not too harsh on the feet if you happen to walk on it. This video is from my local vendor...

    Protection shed - ideas

Maybe you can try to save what you have now. Start with a good coat of Thompson's water seal to protect it from further damage. I know construction material costs have gone through the roof.

    Protection shed - ideas

I like what you did. I did something similar, although a bit more involved. I used pressure treated lumber to build a frame around my equipment and sheathed the sides with cedar fence pickets. The top is sheathing plywood topped with galvanized (wavy) roof panels. It still looks good after 6...

Salt water pool and new gas grill

I have a Blaze Grill installed on an uncovered barbecue island. I do keep it covered with a BBQ cover. It's over 7 years old and still looks great with no signs of corrosion. The burners still cook evenly and start with the electronic igniter. I don't believe it would be worth upgrading to...

    Television Technology

That TV is reconditioned.Check out Costco. They extend the manufacturer's warranty. Right now, some TVs offer a free 3-year Protection Program through Allstate. [The current promotion of 2 yr Sony/Costco and 3 yr Allstate warranty provides 5 years of warranty coverage]

    Television Technology

I did quite a bit of research when buying. The Samsung QLED seemed to be the best value. I purchased an 82" Q70 a few years ago and a 65" Q85 for my son last year. The "8" series have better backlight technology and a faster processor, but the average viewer might never notice a difference. I...

Info and Advice on Tankless Water Heaters

We have a Takagi model TH-3-DV (NG) unit which was installed with the home build in 2004. Zero issues. I use a Heater Treater prefilter to reduce mineral deposits. With a softener, you probably don't need it. The system can flushed with a water/vinegar solution using a sub pump in a bucket to...

Persuade them to find a new place unless you want to deal with this for several weeks: They're pretty cute until you see the poop they leave at the bottom of the pool. Only three survived...the others were taken by predators. https://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/ducklings-vs-tfp.168986/

    Reverse Osmosis

That's great. 200 is a good starting level for CH if you can keep your CSI in range. Have you considered adding a softened water fill line to reduce CH rise? I don't have a whole house softener system, so I installed portable RV water softener that works great.

I wonder how they test the water to determine when they've achieved the desired levels. You may want to pick up a recommended test kit to confirm results before you cut the guys loose.
