I second this. In my place, I can’t get CYA. So the only way is to use trichlor. It took me about 2mths to get the CYA up to 70.

Another effect of adding Trichlor is your pH level will drop too. In essence, you wouldn’t want to alter other chemicals level while trying to achieve your targeted FC.

We can’t actually tell how much cya in the tablet from the above label right?

The pool store has came back to me on the chlorine tablet they are selling. From the name, it seems like it contents cyanuric acid?

A pool store told me that the chlorine tablet that they are selling already have the cyanuric acid. So I suppose I can use it along with my SWG to get enough of the cyanuric in my pool by trial and error on the dosage.

@JoyfulNoise thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, I can't find cyanuric acid locally. So I suppose I have to make do without it.

Thank you all for the advices! The store only sell 4 in 1 test kits, and they are telling me it is good enough for pool maintenance. So I trust TFP rather than the pool store.(y) By the way, the magic portion are selling for US$150 for 20kg.

The pool store that I bought my SWG no longer selling any cyanuric acid. They only sell this ACO. Would like to know if anyone here successfully replace cya with this ACO.
