I just got a pentair VS pump from them a couple of months ago. Happy with the price and the service. BlakeJ keeps a eye on the board and will jump in if he sees a problem. Glad everything work out for you.

If you are looking at the intelliflo VS model 011018. You may want to look at it's replacement coming out the intelliflo 2 VST model # 011055.

Looks like this is going to be the new intelliflo to replace model 011018. New model number is 011055 and is called the intelliflo 2 VST. You can go to energystar.gov website and compare the 2 models. Looks like a more efficient wet end. A few other bells and whistles about it on Pentair site...

What about making a 2” manifold for the intake being feed by all the 1 ½ intakes placing upgraded valves on the 1 ½ pipes . And using 2 “ for the pad plumbing. Make a 2” return manifold run all the returns off that. Placing upgraded valves on the return lines not on the manifolds.

I've used those on the intake side for a few years and have not had any problems. I have gotten sch 40 sweep fittings here flexpvc.com . and use those on the pressure side. Look under PVC-Elbows-90-Sweeps

Your pool configuration sounds a lot like mine. I had a 1.5 hp pump and had to open the valves to spa and close all the returns to the pool and get the pressure up a little over 25 psi to get the jets to have bubbles in them. At 20 psi it could not pull the air in. My spa has 4 jets and 1.5...

Most spa's need quite a bit of water moving fast. You may not get bubbles in the jets with 1 hp.

I agree with Jason I've seen my house voltage anywhere from 108 to 124 volts. Then add in power factor and there could be a difference. I guess were are looking at a snapshot when what is happening is a movie.

Since intake is 1.5 inch that’s going to be the max you will be able to flow. Most agree that 44 gallons minute is about the max you will get though that. So in theory all things perfect you would need at least 11 hours for your pool for one turn over. In reality I would think 14 or more...

I just ordered ecostar for $906 delivered. Tracking number says I should have it Weds.

Another work around would be to leave one of the eyes loose enough so you can just reach in and take one out. This will reduce back pressure and keep the venturi effect from happening. Just screw it back in when you get in.
