Anyone know why my pool builder recommended a SwimClear C5050 which only has 4 filter cartridges when the filter they installed originally has 8. The lady on the phone just said this is what we do but did not know why. :-(

How would I set the pressure. Its always run 25-30psi with clean filters.

Thank you. I run my pump at 3450rpm for a hour hours to get my floor vac running right. Long story. Are you saying by design, I should have only a percent of my water running through the heater, like it is set now

Hi Mark and Jim, thank you for your help. Ok, I just raised the programed high speed from 3100 to 3450 and the flow problem is fixed. My aerator is now a geyser again. The filter pressure is back to around 30psi. The floor vacs immediately started pushing leaves on the bottom of the pool...

Thank you Sir. With my automation retrofit, I only get to set two speeds. Should I set my speed to 3450 for say 5 hours to for floor vacs to work and then set my low speed to like 750 for 5 hours. Or, should I just get the builder to install a 3hp pump.

Yes, you know when the installer was setting it up and I noticed the low flow rate at 3100 and asked him why we don't set the high speed schedule at 3450 and he poo-poo'd me, oh that is not needed. I see the four present buttons on the control pad do not go up to 3450. Wonder why..

Well, the builder set the high speed schedule at 3100 RPM only.

After talking with several local pool companies, I am going with Pentair Intelliflow 2 HP Variable speed pump $1562.00 installed and the Pentair Intellicom for $450.00 which will integrate with my Jandy automation without changing it out. Hope I am making the right decision.
