If it was connected to your septic I'm pretty sure you'd know it just by the smell. 🤷

Should I install and auto leveler?

But a sprinkler zone won't autofill the pool when it gets too low. It's either off or on.

    Free Pool Plumbing Labels!

Got mine the other day. Mucho Thanks to @PoolGate now I need to apply them and get some UV clear paint (I may just re-paint the PVC too as it's starting to look a bit faded).

Pump runs dry for 1 hour before pumping water

Don't believe it should run completely dry to begin with? That kind of leans toward a suction side leak somewhere I would imagine.

Hoses connected to intex plunger valve leaking

I would try it. I assume that valve is like this? Those o-rings should stop any leaks.

Hoses connected to intex plunger valve leaking

Can't really see them that well with the size of pic you posted. What are the zip ties for? Can you not seat the hoses better on the valve (get them over the larger diameter part)?

Hoses connected to intex plunger valve leaking

By "thumb ring" do you mean something like this? I can never get those tight enough using my fingers. You can try to tighten them by using a pair of pliers but don't over do it so you don't crack the barbs.

What % to have on skimmer and main drain suction valves?

in the bottom of each skimmer, under the basket, should be two holes. One is the suction hole and there should be a flap like thing that you can turn to cover part of the hole.

What % to have on skimmer and main drain suction valves?

10% main and 90% skimmer here. Near skimmer bottom flap thing is covering half of the suction hole which increases the suction on the far skimmer.

Any issues with keeping water level below skimmer?

Because you can have the water pull from there. There should be a diverter type valve leading to the pump, like this one side is for the skimmers the other for the main drain. In the pic I have mine set to mostly skimmer. So if you're going to lower the water so it doesn't reach the skimmers...

Any issues with keeping water level below skimmer?

Do you have main drains? Once the water level is backup your pump, if it isn't burned out due to no water, should prime right back up. You can take a hose and fill the basket after the water level in the pool is back to where it's supposed to be to give it some help.

Popup Pool Bubblers one stronger than the other

The model bubbler I have is unknown to me. The bubbler(s) itself rises up out of the deck about 4 inches when the actuator valve is turned. This is a picture of the rough plumbing of them. They are fed via the return on line on the right in this picture.

Popup Pool Bubblers one stronger than the other

Turned on the bubblers today and noticed one is definetly stronger than the other (shoots higher into the air). They are both plumbed on the same line with one actuator to activate them. Is there a way to remove these to check for a blockage in the bubbler or something? Do they simply screw...

Do they make a plug that you can put in the white piping of your equipment if you no longer use your chlorinator and thus have black tubing there?

Why not just leave the chlorinator in line? I have one and don't use it but still have the valve set to 5 just to have water circulate through it.

    Changing from suction to return

Isn't 1750 at bit low on the RPMs? I would think a PSI reading at full RPMs would be a better judge.

    Changing from suction to return

I was thinking of doing the same (when I decide to convert to SWCG). Capped pipe was to be for vacuum robot. More returns the better.

    Replaster -> Replumb -> Re-everything

The 460 is great. I clean the filters twice a year. Right now, on 3400 RPMs, the PSI is at 10...which is what it was when I cleaned them last fall. I'll clean them again in June or July just because. Have to make sure the clamp that seals the two halves together sits correctly, I lightly tap...

Sheared off access panel screws, ideas?

That would be a hard NO. They are cheaper up front, and not by a whole heck of a lot, but you'll pay for it in electricity costs especially in NJ (ask me I used to live in CT). Go with a similar size horsepower to what you have now. You may be able to find a decently priced replacement at...
