I just took the valve out, and measured the opening force at the center of the valve. It measured 3/4 lb. I just ordered a new one rated at 1/2 lb. That's a good point. I believe it is about 15 psi when set to the spa. The pump motor is out of commission, so I can't check it right.

At this point, I am not sure. When they reference 1/2 lb, is that 1/2 psi, or 1/2 lb force to open the valve?

They are pool supply sites. It's easy to tell they are knockoffs. For one, they are not in Polaris packaging. I've also gone on the Polaris and Pentair websites, and products shipped by these sites do not have the correct markings.

I need some more Polaris parts. Any help finding a reputable vendor would be appreciated.
