    Motor Unresponsive

That was one of the first things I checked . . . and the wiring compartment is dry.

    Motor Unresponsive

Thanks for your reply. The motor is a Century VGreen 165; square flanged. No issues with the pump, and am not intending to replace it, unless I cannot find a replacement motor that is compatible. I leaning toward the Neptune 1.65 thp you mentioned earlier. Do you know who would provide the most...

    Motor Unresponsive

Looking more & more like the purchase of a new motor is the long term solution. I know very little about what to consider when doing so. Am looking for any suggestions from anyone who knows more than I: buy same model, same brand? If one exists: buy a more efficient brand, model? etc. etc...

    Motor Unresponsive

Have VGreen 165; about 7 years old. Motor does not respond to Stop button. Randomly stops on its own, then instantly starts again. This was an issue last year. Turning off circuit breaker; push buttons to clear any memory, and then turning it back on worked then, but not now. Looked into...

    V Green 270 User Interface

Can't seem to find anyone, at least on the internet, that sells this item. Inyo says out of stock & no indication when they might be in stock. Anyone know of any other means to buy this item; just the interface, not the pump.

VGreen 165 Control Panel Issue - possible workarounds using digital inputs

According to VGreen 165 User Manual, the VGreen 270 User Interface can also be remotely mounted. Given that it cannot be mounted on VGreen 165 motor, maybe this would make sense. Anyone ever done this?

Add VGreen 270 user interface to VGreen 165 motor

Thanks very much for your help. I think I'm a bit behind the learning curve about this sort of thing. Attached is a photo of my VGreen 165 and it looks a little different than yours. I'm unsure what to make of this, and where I should attach wires. What would you suggest? Thanks, again.

Add VGreen 270 user interface to VGreen 165 motor

Thanks! This definitely helps. Do I need to disconnect or relocate any existing wires?

Add VGreen 270 user interface to VGreen 165 motor

Am looking to add the VGreen 270 user interface (mounted off board) to exising VGreen 165 motor (user manual indicates this is possible), but cannot find any directions for how it should be wired anywhere on line, and, after three weeks, have not received a reply from Century. Anyone know of a...

    Stop/Start Buttons Not Working

This is a tremendous help! Thanks very much. And I will contact company for more detailed information. If I read the provided manual correctly, the remote panel does not let the user set duration & speed. Did you find anything about this when you did your research? Thanks, again.

    Stop/Start Buttons Not Working

I've a 10 year old Century V-Green 165 Variable Speed Motor that has worked magnificently until now. Motor does not stop when I push Stop button. Likewise, when the motor is running, and I push to Start button to stop the motor so I can clean filter, it does not stop. Haven't the foggiest idea...

Will check it out. Many, many thanks.

    Replace motor?

Thanks for advice; hadn't thought of that. By "cover bolt", I'm assuming you mean the one that holds the cover where the power source is connected to the motor itself; at the bottom of the keypad.

    Replace motor?

Many thanks to all who replied. Am uncertain how it happened, but the problem seems to have corrected itself. The motor now runs as it should with the settings I put in. All is now well. Thanks, again.

    Replace motor?

Have Century V-Green 165 variable speed motor; about 7 years old. Never had an issue until now. Motor randomly stops. When it does, red fault light blinks for about a minute, then motor resumes running at prime speed. Once past normal prime speed , motor runs at the speed for that step &...

    RPM Timing

Have a variable speed pump motor with 3 settings. Doe it make any sense to have different settings for whatever I want the maximum, minimum, standard RPMs to be? If so, when would I set each? meaning would I want the maximum to be when the pump first comes on, or later, etc. OR: does it make...

    24/7 or not

I've a Century V Green 165 VS motor and an Aquarite T-15 SWG. At present, the system runs 16 hours a day: 4 hours at 1850 rpm; 6 hours at 1600 rpm; and 6 hours at 1350 rpm. Am toying with the idea of running it 24/7. Some comments seem to indicate this is really unnecessary, inefficient, and may...

How to Keep PH Level Stable

Article was very helpful; thank you. I'm assuming the process you describe precludes aeration, is that correct? Again, thanks for your help. - - - Updated - - - Wow! That's remarkable! How long do you leave this in operation? When we had our pool resurfaced last summer, the workmen did not...

How to Keep PH Level Stable

Seems my PH level is always on the rise. I add the acid to lower it to about 7.6, but then in about a week's time, it creeps back up to above 8.0. This happens even if the TA is within the 60 - 100 range. Some suggestions have mentioned that once PH is lowered to about 7.0 or so, aerate the pool...

    Pump Housing: Repair or Replace

OK Installed new housing. It came with an almost microscopic fracture and seeps water. At this point, I'm about ready to just chuck the whole thing, even though the motor is only about 2 years old, get everything upgraded & replumbed, using a unit much like the Pentair 342001 mentioned by pooldv...

    Pump Housing: Repair or Replace

Am about to replace the tank housing shown in earlier photographs. Is there a particular order to this process? After shutting everything down & draining water, what & where should I saw first? At the reassembly stage, what should get cemented first, second, etc.? Many thanks.

    Pump Housing: Repair or Replace

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions. Think I'll simply replace the tank body, as everything else seems to be working OK; "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach. I know I need to replace the diffuser O ring, the plate O ring & the trap gasket. Is there anything else I ought to replace...

    Pump Housing: Repair or Replace

Thanks to pooldv & satpoolman for your helpful replies. The motor on my pump is only 2 years old & seems to work just fine. It is a Century V-Green 165 VS. Would you advise 1)I keep the motor & just find a pump housing that could attach to it; or 2) replace the tank body part; 3) just get a new...
