    Spa Sloan Lights Malfunctioning

Just wanted to respond here and mention that the controller did in fact fix my lighting problem. It was intermittent at 1st, then slowly got worse over time until the blue's didn't work at all. Plugged in the new controller and all is GREAT!

    Spa Sloan Lights Malfunctioning

How would I know how many splitters I have? This is sounding more like a spring project:( Is it always the blue that fails first?

    Spa Sloan Lights Malfunctioning

Good day. I own a spa that has Sloan led lights throughout. Recently the blue lights have stopped working. It's not just one individual light, it's all the blue lights. As they cycle through the rainbow of colors, blue just never comes on. For a while it would start working after a few minutes...

    Pentair Intellicenter Question

Ok so after a bit of research I think I'm looking for this? https://www.getpoolparts.com/product/37648/contactor-dpst-50a-120vac-coil

    Pentair Intellicenter Question

It is unique for sure. I have removed the contacts from the heating element on the inside of the spa. When I want to use the spa I go outside and turn the breaker to the spa on (so the water can start circulating) and the switch to the heater on. Withing 30 min or so the spa is up to temp and...

    Pentair Intellicenter Question

Lol...the comedic relief is 1/2 the reason I come here! My spa is a barefoot spa SS15, 240V. I will throw this out there though, I don't use the heating element which I know is a large draw. I have a closed loop tied in underneath to the pool equipment to use the 400K pool heater as opposed to...

    Pentair Intellicenter Question

Thanks. Do you know of any tricks to use a relay for a larger breaker. I might be able to wire in an ice cube relay as a simple on and off maybe. I just didn't know if they had an of the shelf solution. Thanks for your help.

    Pentair Intellicenter Question

I can't find the standalone price on the daughter card. Does anyone know the amperage limit on the relays? I'd like to connect my swim spa to it, but that's a 50amp circuit.

    Pentair Intellicenter Question

So what does the daughter card do, just allow everything to communicate with the relays? Just curious. I would assume you can purchase at a later date. I can't find them separate, does anyone know what the cost would be or is? Any comments on an IC40 being overkill for such a small system...

    Pentair Intellicenter Question

Good day all! It's almost time to open the pool and I try to add a little something new every year. This year might be automation. Call me lazy, but I would love to be able to be coming home and fire up the pool heater for the spa instead of waiting the 30 minutes for it to fire, not to mention...

    Ahh-some Questions

Wow, fast response by the manufacturer. They said only use 2oz in a spa that size. He said in larger spas it's 1oz for every 1000 gallons. He said could let it sit, but we (meaning me even though my wife likes me to say we) would have to wipe down the gunk from the sides after every pump run so...

    Ahh-some Questions

Good day, I'm thinking of doing a treatment or 2 and I've emailed the manufacturer. Is there any reason why people don't let it sit overnight or for an extended period of time? My swim spa (1700 gallons) would be a real bear to do multiple treatments to. Would it be better to let it sit? I...

Replacing Liner, Foam Board****Now Done w/Pictures

Ok, so I wanted to update this thread in case anyone wanted to follow along. This was a much bigger undertaking than I had originally thought (it always is isn't it?). First I bought the foam board (1"). It's big, thick and expensive ($20 sheet). My 30' x 15' pool took 14 sheets. I'm not sure if...

Replacing Liner, Foam Board****Now Done w/Pictures

I think we've gone through 3 rolls of gorilla tape, at least 3 layers offset on each seam. Not to mention regular duct tape for odds and ends. It was good work. My wife helped, so it was fun. Finally got the liner started yesterday afternoon. It was looking really good then the clouds moved in...

Replacing Liner, Foam Board****Now Done w/Pictures

So just wanted to thank everyone for their responses. My wife and I started putting in 1" foam from home depot over the weekend. Not too bad. They had a coupon for $25 off, + $25 off for getting a credit card. Also used a gift card I've had in my wallet forever. $300 for 15 sheets (minus the...

Pool Vacuum XtremepowerUS or Intex Auto Pool Cleaner

First off, I want to apologize for not getting back to this thread. I am not receiving any notifications that anyone responded. I appreciate everyone's responses. Can you provide what sizes you used? I have 2 ports in my pool, so doing that would be pretty easy. @kimkats, I appreciate the...

Replacing Liner, Foam Board****Now Done w/Pictures

Might be CAD, but it's still almost double what it is here. At least you have the pharmaceuticals, eh?!? (no offense meant, love Canada) I'd like to hear from people that have done it also. I've had both 3/4" and 1" used for different things, and I know the 1" def feels more robust. The only...

Replacing Liner, Foam Board****Now Done w/Pictures

Holy moly, $50!!! Maybe I shouldn't complain so much. If I had access to 3/4" for that price I would probably go that route, although everything I've read points to everyone using 1"

Pool Vacuum XtremepowerUS or Intex Auto Pool Cleaner

Good day all, I'm interested in getting some thoughts on either cleaner for 16x32 oval APG. I have skimmers / returns at opposite ends, total of 2 each. I have a Pentair VS pool pump. I'm to the point where I'd like an inexpensive robot. I like the no name XtremepowerUS although it's suction...

Replacing Liner, Foam Board****Now Done w/Pictures

Where are you located? Where I'm at I actually haven't found 3/4" xps. The local home depot has 1/2" ($15) or 1" ($20). Both 4x8 sheets

Replacing Liner, Foam Board****Now Done w/Pictures

Really appreciate the thorough response! It's settled then, I'll just go with 1". That's going to be expensive, lol Edit: Question, now that you have experience with the 1", do you think it's necessary? If you did it again would you use smaller, 3/4", 1/2" even? Thanks

Replacing Liner, Foam Board****Now Done w/Pictures

*************** I have finished this project and added pictures through a dropbox link on the second page *************************** Good day, I have to replace my liner. The sand under the liner hasn't been the best and I've read here and there about the foam board. I understand it...

That is what is recommended on TFP, same with the pool math calculator? I understand that it's too high, but why is it listed that way if so?
