Intex SWG--what did you upgrade to?

I'm not sure this will help since you already say you upgraded your pump but the Intex 26679EG is about 300 bucks. It's a pump, sand filter, SWG combo. I have the older model that's 8 or so years now I lost track, and bought this newer model for this season.

Pool liner touching a few poles

For me the liner always touches the poles and that strap becomes tight all the way around. If everything is 100% level, the liner will push the poles out slightly out of level so if the pole legs are on a paver make sure it starts on the inside edge of the paver, and the pole will probably end...

Intex ultra frame xtr 24' x 52" keeping it up year round in cold climates.

For me, It's less about the water being clean / crystal clear the next year but more about the Intex poles and frame rusting. I always take mine down, clean off any rust and spray paint each pole. The pool is used only about 3 months so there's no reason to keep it the remaining 9 months unused...

New Intex T Joint (Leg & Beam Joint) Design

Hi all, It seems like Intex changed it's T joint design in the 2020 season. The new T joint photos are attached below and appear to be out of plastic. There's always been rust issues with the old T joint design out of metal with the push pins because of the horizonal or vertical metal poles...

    Broken and rusty legs

You're not going to want to hear this but you probably have to replace the entire pool. In a regular year it's usually hard to find parts, now with covid it's near impossible, heck, you can barely find pools either. I paid 800 bucks for my intex 24x52 with saltwater sandfilter combo pump 5 years...

    Off-Season Intex Pool Mud Pit

I have put down 2 layers of commercial grade landscape fabric. I take the pool down every winter and the kids love to play on the large flat surface over the colder months like a patio. It's been 6 years already and it's holding up great, although I have had to re-staple the seams in spots.

Please help a newbie - Intex Prism set up - outer band too tight?

Just fill it and once there's a few inches of water, adjust the legs. They are going to move regardless as the pool fills up. You should also put the legs on some kind of pavers or atleast a 1/2" plywood cut to an appropriate size like 4x6" or so otherwise they will sink into the ground.

    Intex pool supply chain disruption??

I think it's not to do so much with supply but more so demand. Most are thinking that public pools will be closed this summer and are buying these cheaper Intex pools for this summer. I personally buy new intex pools at the end of the prior season on sale and store them in my basement until the...

    Pool tilting

Unfortunately the base is your problem. The pool would not shift had not something changed with the base. I've had this happen and had to fix one side about 1/3'rd of the way around by taking the pool down and re-leveling. It was a pain in the you know what but had to be done.

New Intex dual suction outlet... please help

Ohh wow!! I didn't realize Intex made the holes smaller with the dual setup. I still have the older style liner and have been thinking about the future when it needs to be replaced that I'd plug the one suction line myself. Maybe cut the hole larger and use an older style 1.5 intex fitting or...

New Intex Sand Filter install - Pressure Gauge in the yellow

I have the prior model of this swg sand filter pump and mine also runs similar. When clean it sits right where the the green/yellow meet, a little lower than yours but not much. Essentially it's okay, just remember your starting point which is the start of yellow and for example, when it gets to...

I got the Intex Automatic Pool Cleaner

I used an oil filter wrench and got mine off. It was stuck on tight!! This is my first time letting the intex auto cleaner do it's job and all I see it doing is popping wheelies in the pool. Is my pump too strong? I just back washed the sand filter the other day so it's on full blast. Are there...

    Worried about saltwater

Saltwater is very much easier to maintain. Once you get the initial chemical balance right and the SWG timing, the SWG does the rest. I check my chemicals maybe every week or two. If it rains heavily though, I'll check the next day. As for the rust, your pool will rust regardless especially if...

Intex Metal Frame 24' round VS Bestway Pro-Series 26' round?? Which would you pick?

Just FYI, the $599 intex from VMInnovations is not a sand filter or SWG, just a regular cartridge filter. The Intex 24' with sand filter and swg combo was usually $799 or $899 at VMI but I see they aren't carrying it at the moment. I bought mine there last fall for this season. But yes, indeed...

    Leveling Problem Need Help Urgently

It sounds like you didn't level the ground, you just made it flat by spinning the 2x4 around. Flat and level are two different things and both need to be perfect for the pool. Your only choice is to redo! My own is off by a inch or so which has been bothering me slightly. I may or may not repair...

    Starting Up a New Pool

Thanks Guys. I will skip the pool store and get the chemicals from Target and Lowes. Has anyone used Jasco Green Muriatic Acid from Lowes? It supposedly doesn't smell so bad? Leveling Ground for Intex AGP

I do have a friend who done masonry/paver work so I'll give him a call for some ideas too. Great idea, thank you! Nice posts. One day mine will be done too. I love the bamboo surround on the 2nd link. I'd like to maybe run something around the outside of the pool to hide the ugly intex liner on...

    Leveling Ground for Intex AGP

Hi All, I bought a new intex AGP last fall and now it's finally warming up around here in NJ to think of installing it. I have an entire plan setup and ready. My only issue is with leveling the ground. My yard is pretty flat, no trees and pretty level already too (maybe 1 - 3 inches off as a...
