Update: I took my good flow switch out of my old IC-40 and put in the IC-60 and it passed the flow test and my salt level on the controller is matching my manual test. All seems good for now.

Coverlogix solid cover has weathered a hail storm and insurance is replacing it. Store that put pool in now is promoting Findlay solid cover over Coverlogix. Any body have enough experience with both to recommend one over the other?

My incoming connection on my SWG has cracked because somebody tried to take it off during cold weather. Anyway, the question is, is the 2" fitting on the SWG just a standard schedule 80 2" union like you can get at home depot or Lowes?

I put water in it this past weekend and relocated the pump a little and so far it appears the level is the same. I also moved my drain hose to a little bit higher ground as the end of it was down a hill about as low as the bottom of the pool. Now the end it about 2 feet below the normal level...

Your power supplier probably has a suppressor the can go on the load side of their transformer that will protect your whole service. Might be a charge but it will work.

I think my cover pump is sucking water out of my pool. I have a solid vinyl cover but suspect water is seeping up through it an the pump is draining it off. I added some water yesterday and moved the pump up higher on the cover to see what diff that makes. How do I fix this situation?

Just checked FC at 8.5 after pump ran for 30 minutes. CYA is around 60, think it's ok to bump CYA on up? I don't think a .5-1 FC drop is indicative of algae bloom is it?

Last night FC was 9-9.5, this morning without pump running FC is 8-8.5. I am waiting on pump to run for 30 minutes and going to check FC again. Looks as if I dropped .5-1 overnight. Normal? Will report back after pumps runs a little and I check it again.

I will be back home today and will raise it and when pump shuts off I will test the FC. Then test agin in the morn after pump runs for 30 minutes. I will report back.

Yes my pump run time stops at 8 pm and I did all test after 8 pm and before the pump kicked back on at 8 am. That is correct right? - - - Updated - - - I have the SWG set at 90% now. If I raise the CYA shouldn't I wait until the SWG is producing more FC than is used in a day then dial it back?

Re: FC dropping during hot days! Bad cell or normal? About two days ago I adjusted the run time to 12 hours and 90%. My cya was 80 the only time I had to do a SLAM and it took a bunch of bleach to get it under control. I'll do the test tonight.

I turned my cell on 60% and FC was 14-15 when i did. That was a few days ago. The FC level has been there ever since. I am gonna be closing really soon before the stupid leaves start falling. What levels do I want the water before I put the cover on?

Tested last night and this morning. FC was 15 both times. Plugged SWG back in and hopefully be less than 10 tonight and will get a full test.
