    SWCG return jet plumbing

I think this is the fitting I need to go straight up to the return port: http://waterwayparts.com/UNION-A SS.-2%22-X-1.5%22HOSE-400-9240/ Had to add a space in that link to avoid a curse word...

    SWCG return jet plumbing

Here's another angle That shows the return jet port facing downwards. The white elbow fitting at the bottom of the picture is attached to the salt cell. That white fitting was supposed to screw directly into a horizontal return jet port.

    SWCG return jet plumbing

I could but its telling me I've exceeded my attachment quota. I'll try explaining better: Most return jets have their connection port oriented horizontally, coming straight out the side of the pool. Mine is an Aqualuminator and it has its port facing downwards...

    SWCG return jet plumbing

The previous owners of my pool had been using Baquacil. Not knowing any better, I continued with that for a couple years before I made the switch to a salt system. Switching to salt was a great idea. Rushing to buy the salt system without completely figuring out how to connect it was not such a...

    Above ground 3-way valve replacement

My pool is an above ground, 17000 gallons, with a deep end, main drain and one skimmer. The main drain line and skimmer line go into a 3-way valve that outputs to the pump. I've recently replaced the pump and am having some trouble keeping a really good prime. It primes well enough for the pump...

    Mid-season baquacil conversion

Oops. There's a main drain that goes to a valve that switches between that and the skimmer. I've had the drain side of that closed the whole time. The drain and underground piping probably has a bunch of stuff in it. I'll switch that over when i get home. I haven't tested CYA, but I'm assuming...

    Mid-season baquacil conversion

Thanks for the reassurance. Yeah, I was using CDX. I think I have seen some progress over the last couple days. CC is down to about 1 ppm now. FC is still dropping about the same amount overnight though, from 15 down to 6 or 7. The water has been looking very clear for about a week now. The...

    Mid-season baquacil conversion

I know this would have been a lot easier if I had waited until Spring, but we had an algae problem that we just couldn't get rid of with baq. Since we weren't really able to use the pool anyway, I decided to go ahead and try the conversion using the method described here. So it was less than a...
