    losing water in the winter

A storm is what caused this issue, I usually try to keep metal sheds out of my pool. Whats weird is it was fine all summer and fall and this all started about 2 weeks ago. I'm going to have to get the cover off soon or it's going to start to strain the walls. I always use a cover for a 21...

    losing water in the winter

No pump on the cover and the cover is brand new, losing about 2" a day. I'm guessing it will be empty within 10 days. This weekend i am pulling the cover off and grabbing the fishing waders to see if i can find a leak, has to be a pretty big hole to lose water this fast. If i leave it empty...

    losing water in the winter

I'm in Pittsburgh. Already have some ice forming on the water on the cover, should be melted tomorrow. I am worried about the walls collapsing or ice forming and water leaking under it and a giant ice cube dropping. I'm hoping once everything freezes it stops. I am not monitoring the depth...

Opinion on new above ground pool

Well I can't argue if everyone likes the white. I'll get used to it. I was just prepared for the same color and finish as the posts. I don't think the kids are going to care once they are swimming. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Long story short the pool store where i bought it are a bunch of aholes. 1st batch of rails were bent and scratched, then they said that pool was a closeout and i have no options. Looking for opinions on how the white rails look on it. I'm not a fan of it, wife said just finish the pool. I...

    Padded cove

For an 18' round padding is only 50 bucks, truck will be on it way with gravel and river rock for around the pool. coming from an intex i know all too well about what water flowing over the skimmer can do. Luckily my ground is mainly sand and drains quickley. The area under my skimmer will be...

    Padded cove

i will email them tomorrow and find out. The coves on amazon say they have a height anywhere from 2" to 4" is that about standard? on a 54" pool that leaves my top 2" unpadded with a 48" wall padding which will be under the top rail and not have water against it anyways

    Padded cove

I just put a down payment on an 18'x54". The pool store sells all the padding for walls floor and cove...so does amazon for allot less. Are there any differences between brands for the cove? Store wants over $130 and amazon is less then half Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Upgrading to metal side from Intex

After 4 years the poles on my Intex were starting to look like an old Datsun, i took it down in the fall and had a few spots that had completely rusted through. I am looking for opinions on this pool, the price is right as long as it's not total junk...

    solar panel install question

Are the check valves and vacuum release valves available at lowes? So just a valve to open the side to the heater and 1 to close it from going to the pool is all I need? Any advice how to secure it to the roof? I was going to lay thin pieces of wood across it every few ft and screw to the...

    solar panel install question

Very helpful info. Thank you. What about using 90° elbows? Use them or just use flexible pool hose when I come off the fence? The pipe will be at the top of the fence so I either 90 it down to the ground or let pool hose hang
