No O-ring. It's a gasket. I will try and tighten the nut and see if that works. If not, I will lower water level, then replace the return gaskets.

I use a siphon and place it in a float for a few hours to bring my level down. I've had to do it three times so far this summer including this past Thursday.

Below is a picture of what happened last time. It did not occur at a joint. It was towards the middle of the hose that busted. The hose was less than 5 months old when this happened.
