Just an update. I poked around in the jet a bit and was able to pull out 2 leaves to unblock the jet. You guys were correct. Makes sense as I did an ahh-some purge with the filter off. It was relatively windy and soe leaves fell into the tub during the purge so probably got sucked into the plumbing.

Thanks. Will try the suggestions. I also have a rubber strap wrench which might do the trick the grasp the outer edge of the metal face cover without damaging it. Parts are much easier and cheap to get in the US. In Canada, not so much, but always good that they still make them.

Sold or flashing FLO error? Most likely the FLO switch is faulty. Is your circulation pump running 24/7? Can you remove the side cover and see if the FLO switch is in the opened or closed position when the FLO error is there.

My concern is that it's not working as it should if the pressure is not 1ppm above clean anymore even though the DE is still in the sand filter? Does it just get rearranged in the sand filter when the pump cycles causing it to settle differently?

Thanks but I know all this. In my original post I am asking about DE and pressure. I add DE to increase my pressure up by 1 psi, but after I cycle my pump on and off a few times, the pressure returns nearly back to backwash pressure. Do I need to add more DE to my filter to re-increase the pressure?

I had the same issue after a SLAM. The remaining dead algae dust was just passing through my sand filter. Tried to filter it out for a week but no improvements. The trick for me was to add DE to my sand filter up to 1 PSI and within 12 hours of filtering and constant brushing it all was gone.
