The pump runs run fine until we turn on the shear descents. We’ve turned them on with and without automation. We use ScreenLogic.

So this morning I noticed the cleaner in a different location and all the leaves it cleaned up over night. Went out and successfully removed the cap and the shaft turns just fine. Turned the pool on and stared up the cleaner and all seems to be fine now. No humming at all. So strange!

That thing does not want to come off. I may have to pry it off.

Dumb question, do I have to unscrew it to see if the shaft turns?

After turning on the pool cleaner, I noticed immediately that it didn’t sound right. Usually hear a sound of water turning on but this time it was a loud vibration sound and polaris isn’t moving. Any ideas? Here is a link to the video.

Our house was struck by lightning and our ScreenLogic interface that allows us to operate the pool through our phones no longer works. Does anyone know if this is something that can be repaired? Or do we just have to suck it up and purchase a new one? Sucks because it's only a few months old.

Funny cause we were out of town all weekend and it was just fine on Friday. Big storms while we were away. Could that be the cause?
