Hello Just curious....when building or renovating....is the SAME grout color used for coping AND the waterline tile? We have picked a light gray / taupe marble for coping....and light blue waterline tile. Our PB indicates that they always use the same color so that it all looks cohesive. But...

I know this is an old thread, but I know this is an old thread but just curious how you are liking your marble pavers? Have you had any issues with any rust staining coming through? They look beautiful.

Hi Jimmy! They are cutting the cantilever and decking only about 3-4 inches (or 12”) if we go with other quote. But that is all that will be removed as far as decking. They will lay the marble pavers over the kool deck. Here’s a pic so you can see what the pool looks like.

Have you seen the Talya Gray Marble from Stone Mart? They have a 16x24 that is used as a coping.

Thanks for responding. So really not to big of a problem to add 6" of concrete....other than cost (which is a factor), but will find out. We are removing the Kool Deck cantilever and laying down marble coping and pavers all over the deck. Appreciate any further input. Thanks!!

Hello, I am in the process of obtaining quotes for my pool renovation. We currently have Kool Deck cantilever, that will need to be removed. We are installing travertine / marble pavers and coping. One PB states that he need to "saw cut pool deck 12" for a relief cut. Rebar, pin and epoxy...

Would love any suggestions as to where to put the steps if we have a sun shelf installed. Thanks all!!

Our pool is very deep. The shallowest part is to my chin! I’m 5’2” so since this is a remodel and are raising the pool an additional 3”, we are going to need to raise the shallow end about 3-4 inches so that it’s not over my head. So that’s when the discussion of adding a sun shelf was made.
