The pool company already came out once to fix some of the areas that had gaps / missing grout. But now we are seeing a lot more tiles that have pieces of grout missing. I know this can’t...

    Pebble Tec vs mini pebble?

Hello My PB knows that I'm concerned about going from a plaster finish to a pebble finish as I've heard that pebble can be rough. I picked a mini pebble color and we are now a few weeks away from finish installation. My PB advised that he thinks I would be much happier with the regular pebble...

Marble pavers......brush sand on top to fill gaps...or not?

Hello Our installers are just finishing up a large job of laying marble pavers in a french pattern. I am reading that some people do NOT have sand brushed in between....and others do. The installers are wanting to use playground sand to sweep in the cracks. Before I have them do this...just...

Thank you for your response. Your sun shelf looks great!! So your water depth is 9"? Or it's 6" deep and 3" to the top of coping? I like those chairs too!! I saw the table that they have for an umbrella....and you have to have the umbrella sleeve for that to work?? I was hoping that...

Renovation question relating to pool beam and shallow depth

Hi Jimmy! They are cutting the cantilever and decking only about 3-4 inches (or 12”) if we go with other quote. But that is all that will be removed as far as decking. They will lay the marble pavers over the kool deck. Here’s a pic so you can see what the pool looks like.

Renovation question relating to pool beam and shallow depth

Thanks for responding. So really not to big of a problem to add 6" of concrete....other than cost (which is a factor), but will find out. We are removing the Kool Deck cantilever and laying down marble coping and pavers all over the deck. Appreciate any further input. Thanks!!

    Sun shelf design ideas?

Our pool is very deep. The shallowest part is to my chin! I’m 5’2” so since this is a remodel and are raising the pool an additional 3”, we are going to need to raise the shallow end about 3-4 inches so that it’s not over my head. So that’s when the discussion of adding a sun shelf was made.
