I know that the Dpd powder is supposed to be replaced at the beginning of the season (does it really?) But what about the rest of the stuff? Also, does water temp affect the results?

What @mknauss said. I ordered the kit that came with the speedstir and I use it every time I test my water....I also ordered extra magnets but don't tend to use them.

If I get 6" of rain it won't dilute my chlorine?

It looks like I will be getting quite a bit of rain from at least one of the hurricanes in the Gulf. Add extra chlorine ahead of the rain or wait?

That's what I'm reaching for once I learn to completely trust what I'm doing. After weeks of the pool store telling me they don't understand why my water is green when my numbers looked perfect, I'm wondering how it can be this easy??!!!!
