SWG Reading 95F, but water is 80F. No heater.

I have it set to pull 50/50 from skimmer and bottom. That's the way I've always had it, and have never seen temps like this. But I did switch it to full bottom drain, just to see what it does. Thanks for the idea.

SWG Reading 95F, but water is 80F. No heater.

I have a MS-11 SWG, and it's been working well so far this season. It just started reading the water temp very high compared to actual. It's reading in the mid-90s, but water is barely 80F. I do not have a heater. the CompuPool GRC40GH is at least four years old, and likely older. It still...

Why Purchase the Warrior SI or Nautilus CC Plus over Warrior SE

Hi @Blancmik - I'm shopping for a cleaner and thinking about the Warrior SE. I have a kidney shaped pool, and thought I read some others have had mixed experiences with a robot. Looks like you have a kidney shape (or something non-rectangular). What has your experience been? Thanks!!

    Mineral Springs r1.4 HI salt

Thank you for the info. When I get home, I'll run the diagnostics for you. But I can tell you that in the past few days, the salt reading on the SWG has come down, and it started working within a day of my last post. I checked the instant level and it was quite a bit lower than the main...

    Mineral Springs r1.4 HI salt

I've search through the threads, so I apologize in advance if my answer is out there and I missed it. I just opened the pool yesterday, and used bleach per my normal opening routine. Just went to turn on the SWG, mainly to ensure it's working ok. After a minute to read flow, it quickly...

Older SWG replacement cell - version compatibility

Thank you. Vielen Dank. Gratzie Mille. Seriously - taking the time to help someone that quickly is a Godsend. I can't thank you enough. I'll try to pay it forward. Saturn94 - when you say "genuine" - do you mean Hayward (W3T-CELL-15)?

Older SWG replacement cell - version compatibility

here it is. looks like J4 is jumper, and thus set up for T15. So will my r1.4 work with a "newer" T15 replacement cell? I'm not sure why the one Amazon posting made the effort to make it clear their product only worked with r1.5 and higher. Is there a reason behind this that's simpler than...

Older SWG replacement cell - version compatibility

I have a Mineral Springs MS-11 system, with what I think is a CompuPool GRC40GH. I've owned the pool for almost three years, and the cell continues to work. I clean it each year, but it doesn't seem to need it. The original owners said it was the second cell, and the pool was installed in...

    CompuPool GRC40GH same as...

I have a CompuPool GRC40GH. For purposes of Pool Math, would I choose the Aqua-Rite T-15 ? If not, can someone tell me the lbs/day my cell produces? Also, I'm nearing lifetime on this cell. Is a T-15 an acceptable replacement? Thank you!

    Cloudy, but FC=1.0 and CC=0

SWG was off, water is very clear this morning, OCLT was basically zero, and CC is also basically zero. FC was 27, figuring that my CYA would be near 70 (read that if I've added stabilizer, then use the calculated target and not actual reading for several days). 1. Should I leave the SWG off...

    Cloudy, but FC=1.0 and CC=0

newbie mistake. Won't happen again. Clear like gin... now I need a drink! I have a feeling might have an issue with my cell. But I'll watch it closely and see. One thing at a time.

    Cloudy, but FC=1.0 and CC=0

Thanks for the CYA advice. I'll give that a shot. The idea of "at first glance" makes a lot of sense. When I'm staring at it, my mind plays tricks. I'll do it 3 or 4 times, too. I do stand with my back to the sun. I swear the deep end looked a little clearer just now. I'm going to wait...

    Cloudy, but FC=1.0 and CC=0

I understand pH testing isn't reliable during SLAM, but what about CYA. I just put in a bunch of bleach to start the SLAM, and tested an hour or so later. The FC level was 19, so I had to add more than I thought (per PoolMath). I had absolutely no CC. I thought I'd test CYA, to ensure I was...

    Cloudy, but FC=1.0 and CC=0

Still new to this, so please bear with me. Pool has been doing great for over a month. Crystal clear water and chemistry good. I noticed it starting to get cloudy yesterday, and it's the same today. Can see the main drains, but not real well. I hope my info will show in my signature...

New to TFP. FC is high

Thank you! My SWGC is reporting slightly high. Is this an indication of anything I should be aware of? Or is it just something to know, understand, and mentally adjust to what I know it is (per Taylor)?

New to TFP. FC is high

Thanks for the info! You would trust the SWG over the Taylor test kit?

New to TFP. FC is high

Hello, I'm new to pool ownership and TFP. Bought this house with pool late last Fall. Have been reading this site for months, and want to thank everyone for the great help this has been. I opened pool last weekend. Water was not bad, and I've been slowly getting it balanced. Two days ago my...
