Water on Baja shelf for winter

Thanks. With the solid cover it does a pretty good job keeping water out, but will definitely keep an eye on it for sure.

Water on Baja shelf for winter

Ok. I drained it down probably a half inch lower than the shelf top. So the shelf is dry now. Sounds like that is what it should be.

Water on Baja shelf for winter

Yeah I’m just super nervous after having to replaster a 4.5 yr old pool after the top of the shelf plaster broke to pieces last winter. The way the tile is and so forth I can’t have more than maybe a quarter of an inch of water on top of it before the water starts touching the tile. I now...

I do. I have a solid auto cover that covers the pool all winter.

Water on Baja shelf for winter

Should there be no water on top of the Baja shelf for winter? Last winter all the plaster broke off my Baja shelf and I had to replaster the whole pool. The company who closes my pool did it today and there is a thin layer of water still over the shelf. So trying to understand if it should...

Slow drip leak on a pvc junction.

Hey everyone, I’m sure there is a simple answer here, but just found one junction point near my filter that has a small drip going on. What’s the best way to fix this. It’s very very slow drip. Do I need to cut the pipe off and redo it or is there another solution? Thanks

4.5 year old plaster -Sun shelf chipped off

Talked to pool builder today. He subs out the plaster work and can’t remember what warranty the plaster company provides. Said he will reach out to them though to try to get them out to look at it. So guess we will see, although that’s assuming someone actually comes out. I tried for a year to...

4.5 year old plaster -Sun shelf chipped off

There is roughly 2-3 inches on top of it currently. Not sure if when it was closed if there was water or not. Closing is the only thing I pay someone else to do. My guess is there was water as I have a solid auto cover over the pool

4.5 year old plaster -Sun shelf chipped off

Just opened my pool cover for the first time since closing in Oct and just find piles of plaster that appears to have chipped off over the winter. What would cause this to happen, and should this be covered under some sort of plaster warranty do you think? It’s all from the top of my sun shelf...

White Pool Plaster Looks Pitted (4 seasons)

That was supposed to say looks almost like a peeble effect, not per level.

White Pool Plaster Looks Pitted (4 seasons)

Hey everyone, Im in my 4th season with my pool and my pool plaster looks almost pitted. I don’t think it’s actually pitted if I really look at it. I think it’s exposing small per level like affect in the plaster. The pool is just a plain white plaster. Is this normal? I know my pool has high...

    White deposits on walls

The streaks are protruding. I was thinking nodules as well but they are so easy to remove. Salt is on the lower end of the SWG. Like 3000. Yeah TA was a major problem last year. Around 170 was best I could get no matter how much MA I put in. The first half of the season it was much higher, so I...

Thanks. Yeah I usually try to keep it around 7.2. Dropped some MA in after I took those readings.

    White deposits on walls

Hey everyone, This season I’ve noticed I’m getting white deposits on my walls. Looks almost like raised white streaks maybe like 4 or 5 per wall. I can usually rub them off with my finger with a little pressure, sometimes I have to use my finger nail, but never more than that. My water is...

calcium carbonate scale flakes in pool vacuum

Thanks Maddie. Yeah I’ve been fighting TA all season. Guess my super worry is this problem occurring when the pool is closed for winter. The vacuum seems to be keeping up with it pretty good for now.

calcium carbonate scale flakes in pool vacuum

Hey everyone. For the last few weeks, maybe a month I have been finding a good amount of what I believe is calcium carbonate scale flakes in the pool vacuum bag. I took some of the flakes out and pour MA on them and they foamed and fizzed. Ive noticed the higher I turn up my SWG the more is...

    Another trying to decrease TA

Sediment in the vacuum now. And I dropped the salt level by draining water, but now my chlorinator is saying there is high salt again. Here are my numbers. Still fighting the ALK. Only thing I’m putting in the pool is Clorox Bleach and Jasco Blue Label Muratic Acid. Here is a pic of what the...

    Another trying to decrease TA

Well I have no idea what I did differently this time I put Acid in, but my TA is now 130 down from 240. So definitely a lot better then where I’ve been for 2 months. I know it’s still not right, so a little more to go. Thanks for the advice everyone

    Auto Cover - Not Engaging

Is that the pin through the center of that gear? It seems pretty solid. I think the gear just isn’t sliding far enough over on its own. Wondering if I just need to lube it. I will look at the doc you shared though.

    Auto Cover - Not Engaging

Hey everyone, Have a 2.5 yr old auto cover that now isn’t engaging. I build up the stone covering the box, and see it spinning but the part that I guess would be considered the gear isn’t catching so it doesn’t move the cover. I can kind of manually manipulate it to catch in one direction or...
