Pool builder called immediately, this is the fault of the concrete sub of course - pool builder superintendent was hit by gravel himself . Promised to force concrete sub to fix all, I like pool builder but subcontractors are unknown. Should have insurance

No added costs - the quotes for pools are high in Austin, it covers anything they find underground. But they know what they are going to hit just by the area or neighborhood they are digging in. But it was solid shelf rock from 10" on down.

Yeah, it’s been really bad - hope to finish by noon tomorrow but that’s 6 days of jackhammering solid rock for 10-11 hours a day. Neighbor called pool company just to tell them her holiday weekend was ruined.

Passed layout inspection with city of Cedar Park today, there is a 5' build line for vertical structures, does not apply to pool. Only issue is with me, I had thought there was a bit more space to get by between the pool and fence.

It looks bigger than expected! Unfortunately goes more into planting bed along side yard than drawings showed, need to discuss. Would lose another tree but it’s a tree that doesn’t grow due it growing on a limestone shelf, so wouldn’t be end of the world. But the progress is fun to see - city...

Got HOA approval. Surveyor came out and staked PUE. Gas company located gas line this morning. Spray paint shape monday, forms mid week, form survey next friday, and start excavation Sept 5. Starting to pick up steam.
