I would love to pay $120 a month that includes testing, chemical, brushing and emptying skimmer basket. 🙏🏻

    Water Guru Sense 2

I am using a VS pump. I guess I don't understand the technology to understand the correlation between flow and chemical sample/testing if the unit is submerged. I'll time the high speed at the time of my daily sample reading to see if that helps. FC was better last night but everything else was...

    Water Guru Sense 2

Just received my Sense 2 today. Initial reading was off from my Taylor kit. WG (vs Taylor) FC - 2.3 (vs 1.2) pH - 7.3 (vs 7.7) TA - 90 (vs 60) CH - 270 (vs 400) CYA - n/a (vs 30) Will see if it calibrates through the week. Note: android Google home integration is no longer available.

FC test troubleshooting - am I crazy??

Thanks everyone. This was a new scenario for me. I appreciate everyone's guidance and reminder on the specifics of the slam process.

FC test troubleshooting - am I crazy??

Understood. I have granular but it takes a long time to dissolve for me. Liquid is just faster to get it going so that I can properly slam and I am not spending hundreds a week for chlorine.

FC test troubleshooting - am I crazy??

I'm not crazy. Just retested an hour after adding 3 gallons and FC at 10. I add in the evening at 8:30p, but don't have a chance to test in the morning before work. Now that the weekend is here, I'll test in the morning. Never had algae this far into summer so didn't realize the immediate burn...

FC test troubleshooting - am I crazy??

Specs: in ground 30k freshwater pool. No CYA, pH7.5, TA60, everything else within range per pool match app, except FC. Not adding CYA until I'm sure no more algae. I've been slamming my pool bc of algae (pump/filter issue that is now resolved). Water is now clear and has been for a few days...

Filter clog after a couple hours

Having the exact same issue and having been slamming for a while. Filter just keeps clogging and I stopped putting de bc of how many times I've had to take filter out to rinse (I detest this the most as a pool owner). Did you ever get your pool resolved? First time this has happened to me in 10...

Thanks. I got the patch. Rather have discoloration than a weak spot.

    Pool Replaster....Post Freeze Damage!

Just had my pool replastered and in the middle of filling up my pool. It is at 60% and I expect it to take another 24 hours. With a frost advisory tonight, is there anything I can do to protect the newly plastered (pebble) finish? Very worried.

    Nail marks and divet

PB plastered my pool with a smooth pebble finish this morning. After running errands and coming home, my wife looked at it and first thing she saw (that I missed) were two nail marks from the contractors pool boots and a divot by the tile. I just messaged my PB, but was curious if there was a...

    Plaster resurfacing - help

Just got quote #1 from PB to resurface our pool (dallas area). I asked him to walk me through the process and he mentioned that they would just chisel around fixtures to be flush, spray it with 5000 psi washer, check for hollow plaster, apply coat of bond and 2 coats of new plaster trowel. When...

Order of adding chemicals (salt) in new conversation

Thank you all for your response. My chem levels are: FC - 6 pH - 7.2 TA - 100 (targeting 70 by raising pH, adding MA, aerating) CH - 210 (targeting 350 by adding calcium chloride via ice melt) CYA - 20 (targeting 80) Salt - 600ppm (targeting 3500-3700) Borate - targeting 50 ppm I am a little...

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

Thanks. Finally got through. Was trying to get the order in and shipped today. In the process of refilling my pool and could use the robot to help with the distribution of some chemicals. Also as an FYI, they no longer accept the forum discount for new robot cleaners. Only 10% for future parts.

Anyone run into issues in trying to get a hold of Marina? Was able to ask Margaret questions this morning and am ready to pull the trigger, but keep getting voicemail since mid-morning. Is it a pretty small one-man shop kind of place?
