Yes. I pretty much only do the 10ml test. It's accurate enough for what is needed.

Why didn't you use the Taylor kit for the CYA. That will give you accurate readings. Paper test swabs aren't accurate enough for what you need to know...ie FC level.

Cliffstone, from your post you seem like you have been using the BBB for awhile (more than just this year) if so why was you CYA at zero? Did you have to drain and refill your pool?

I may be totally screwed up but I'm pretty sure your water is going thru your heater regardless if the heater is on or not so I'm not sure what a high FC reading would matter.
