    Bestway p6561 Strainer Cover Replacement

Thank you for the link! Better than nothing I guess. Should I be concerned that it is used? Mine looked just like that before, and then suddenly cracked in a few spots. I will look into intex lids and maybe fb. Thanks for pointing this out. Don't really know much about them.

    Bestway p6561 Strainer Cover Replacement

thanks, it would be great but according to their product information, it is 4x4x4. I can see some mentioned that it fit intex pump but I need 5.51(ID). Any chance it might still fit and product info is off?

    Bestway p6561 Strainer Cover Replacement

My strainer cover lid is cracking, and almost apart. I am trying to find the replacement and what I found so far is out of stock. Is there any compatible covers out there, or any hacks I can do to replace the lid? I don't really need to open it often as my pool is usually covered and I don't...

Intex pump and sand filter combo - what can I use to replace the hose connecting them?

Thank you for the videos. I tried searching but didn't find these. The first video has some kind of flexible hose connecting pump and filter but I cannot see what it is. The second vid mentions 1.5 flexible pvc, and it looks like it might work. Is this what I need? link And what connectors do I...

Intex pump and sand filter combo - what can I use to replace the hose connecting them?

Everything was hard plumbed except that hose that worked. It developed a leak lately. Tried to hard plumb with pvc but I cannot get a curve to match one end to the other. Ended up with a flexible coupling but I don't like how it looks: here's the one I used Is there anything else I can use...

    Winter cover in the wind

If you get some water on top of the cover, it will hold the top from blowing. Make sure you secure the edges - we use bleach jugs with water. Oops, just noticed that you have a a permeable cover and cannot do that with yours.

    Changing out the return jet

you don't have to drain. Shut off your valves if you have them. If not, just change it quick - even if some water come out. If it's a face only, have someone push on the other side so it stays close to the pool.

    Changing out the return jet

The short answer is yes. But it depends what kind of setup you have. I have a bestway, and I had to cut my liner to make bigger holes to work with modified setup.

Best Practices - Removing the Cover

i use this one https://www.amazon.com/Milliard-Swimming-Siphon-Removal-Coverings/dp/B00IT2W7QQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1498442227&sr=8-1&keywords=water+siphon+pool can be left overnight and extended with extra hose if needed. Plants love that rain water.

My water is almost 100 degrees!

I had almost a 100 a few days ago. Adding cold water from the hose and running solar heater at night for couple nights now helped to cool it down to 86-87. Now added a fountain to the return.

Cut a hole for an inlet - now it's dripping. What should I do?

yep, just one- on the inside of the pool. It should've worked, but it doesn't. I ordered an extra one to put on the outside - we'll see. I figured out what was going on - the threading is somewhat off so the nut comes on a slight angle.

Cut a hole for an inlet - now it's dripping. What should I do?

Tried with magic lube and channel locks, but still leaking. It's also leaking more if I rock it somewhat in place. The cut fit tight enough around the threaded strainer but not too tight. Any ideas?

Cut a hole for an inlet - now it's dripping. What should I do?

Since everything was converted to pvc, we decided to replace an inlet with a plunger valve set ( i had a similar connection as in first review before conversion): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WFB3HQQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Now it's dripping from outside. It looks...

Pool cover and lowering water level with storm.

I had a winter cover on but still have to drain the water out from the top from time to time. If I leave too much water on, it pushes the pool water out from the four corners (I have a rectangular pool). I use this ...

Anyone use an inflatable spa in winter? (freezing temps)

Interesting topic. I'm considering one as well. They are now cheaper on amazon than in warmer times. Looking for mods as well. Has anyone tried SaluSpa versions by bestway?

    Draining Winter Cover

I tried this with my AGP https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0024NKK42/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . I still had a summer cover on at the time and it was raining so I left it overnight - works good as long as you put your hose lower than the drain point. It drained my pool...

Bestway steel frame pool pvc pipe conversion questions

Dry fitted the diverter system tonight, then tested it next to the pool with the existing hoses and some rubber adapters. Bestway steel frame pool pvc pipe conversion questions

Thanks for your replies. A few questions: 1. I coudn't find JeffChap's method of double gaskets - I could only find a few mentions of it. Is it possible to get a link? 2. How did you hard plumb your inlets? Which adapters did you use? I don't want to keep the hoses around the pool. I've decided...

Bestway steel frame pool pvc pipe conversion questions

I'm ok with how the system works for now. My skimmer is functional and I cover my pool. What I want to do is to change my hoses to pvc and move my pump/filter away from the pool. I also have a solar water heater with it, so I want to connect it parallel to the main line with partial diversion. I...

Bestway steel frame pool pvc pipe conversion questions

Hi, we bought the pool from costco last spring, but now I want to convert to pvc and move the pump/sand filter away from the pool. Finally installed costco bestway rectangular pool
