It appears its not easy to find a 1HP dual speed pump, is 1 1/2 way overkill for my setup? I came to the conclusion that I should be using a 1HP motor.

Thanks for taking a look. The dual speed pumps I'm seeing appear to go between high/low by a switch. Would I need to manually change it from high to low? Any idea how often?

I want to revamp my pool gear, and want minimum maintenance. I am sick of falling behind with adding chlorine, and getting a green pool, and having to SLAM and clean filter constantly. So I am thinking of going with a sand filter and a SWG. These are what I'm looking at getting, but am unsure...

What's your CC? Also, what is it 10 minutes after you add chlorine? Sounds like my issue. I have a thread detailing my issue just below this one. If you have high CC you've got something eating the FC up. I am just getting over that issue.
