I did buy it last year. But last week it showed 60 for CYA. It was not sunny it was late evening when I did it last night.

Tested pool one week ago and my CYA was at 60. I did have to let some water out due to heavy rain. But my question is what would cause me to lose all my CYA so fast?

So here is the image (sorry about my finger) of the light that came through. I just checked the other one and it is bulging out like it could pop through any minute.

We did have alot of freezing. Now the plaster is the least of my worries. So not only did that one pop out I looked at the other one and it is bulging looking like it will pop out at any time. How would water get in there and freeze if those pipes arent connected with the jets or returns? And...

And it keeps getting worse. Upon further looking at my pool I found the light has protruded out through the pool. What in the world has happened???

This is my second opening so my pool is under 2 years old. I took the pool cover off to find the steps had huge chunks of plaster missing from my gunnite inground pool. It is only on the steps also. Any thoughts what could have caused this? The gouges are very deep too...

Thank you. I will get the steel brush and start today. Is it ok to still run the heater and pump while I am doing this?

Unfortunately I have had them over and they say everything is completely fine and this has been three times. The plaster looks like it has scaling all over it (which I assume its scaling its white/grey spots 40% of the pool). Even the kids friends keep asking what is all over the pool...And now...

So this is my first Pool with plaster. We had it built last September. I have been following the TFP method and only I have been taking care of it. The kids swam yesterday and all of them had bloody toes from the plaster being so rough. Not exaggerating the plaster just looks and feels awful...

Sorry I have been out of town. It has never been tested for metals. It is municipal water. I just opened the pool. I tried the Vitamin C tabs to see if it lightened it up and it did nothing.

I have these stains that will not go away on my steps. They keep getting worse. They will not brush away. Any suggestions on what it could be or to do? FC-5 CYA-60 PH 7.4 CH-200 TA-70

Thanks all I did buy the wrong acid. It was a lower strength. Also - That's not me saying my PH was under 6.2 I am still high trying to lower.

My pool is 17500 gallons. FC-3.5 TA-70 CYA-60 CH-25 PH-8.5 So far I have used 1 1/2 gallons of muriatic acid and my PH hasn't lowered at all. Thanks

I am very new at this. My FC is now at 3.5 (CYA is 60) after adding some chlorine. The water is starting to get clear although its very green and full of brown dusty areas all over? I wasn't sure if it is something that must be done at every pool opening? - - - Updated - - -

I cannot get my PH to go down. Its at 8.5 plus right now. I keep adding Muriac Acid but it does nothing. Could this be because the water temperature is only 55 degrees? Or do I keep adding the Muriac Acid? Thanks

I just opened my pool for the first time. I have everything set up through the Easy Touch system. The water temperature is 52 degrees and all the salt water generator lights are on and running.
