    Should I smell my heater?

No leaks and tech said it was normal. Oh well, price you have to pay to keep warm. Lol.

    Should I smell my heater?

Definitely down wind. The only noticeable noise I hear is when it’s firing back up to heat.

    Should I smell my heater?

Every time I fire up my heater I smell the gas. The question is am I suppose to smell it? The vent is low so that’s what I assume why but isn’t it kind of strange that I can smell the odor 30 ft away when in the pool?

Clorox is doing the same thing so looks like our backup plan for bleach is getting washed out.

    What gives?

I wonder if my builder could add a timer since this is something they should have though of? I also want them to remove the on demand acid because it’s become more trouble than it’s worth.

    What gives?

Didn’t think of that, good point. I shut it off and turned it bAck on and now it still shows flow but low salt as well.

    Pipes not full?

They worked on a electric panel problem. They did however add water to the pool (don’t ask me how I knew....lol). Don’t see why they would need to access other parts of the system.

    Pipes not full?

No solar, so this is normal? I don’t remember this happening before and coincidentally it started happening after a service tech came out to work on something.

    Pipes not full?

Hi all, I’ve been noticing the last few weeks when ever the pool starts up it sounds like water is filling the pipes (close to the heater) then eventually it all settles down. This is accompanied by a plethora of bubbles being pushed out of the returns. My question is why does this keep...

How well (or not well) will salt dissolve in my 57 degree water?

I added 6 bags the other day (one at a time) and just mixed until i couldn’t see any more salt on the bottom. Make sure your swg is off and let the pump run a full 24 hours before you turn it back on.

Own kit vs Store water test

B.s brah, liquid cya is awesome no matter if your rich or poor. I just pour it in, stir it, and done. The granules take all day to dissolve and needs manual intervention. Either way is fine if you have the money/time but calling people lazy because they like convenience is a bit callous, no?

    Hard freeze coming to Houston!

Question! I have a separate pump that turns on my water feature. My main pump runs when it reaches a certain temp so do I need to worry about that second pump? Pic below

I have this problem as well. The blowers are way too strong (and loud) so I never turn them on anymore. Any way to slow it down?

So I decided to wrap the trunks with c7/c9 lights then wrapped them with blankets from the base to the fronds. Looks kind of funny at night. Wish me luck.

    Hard freeze coming to Houston!

The dreaded freeze is coming and expected to happen every night for 4 days in a row. My pool is thermal protected so good to go there. My worry this time is for my palm trees. Last year they were killed by one night of hard freezing so you can imagine my concern for the new ones I planted last...

Salt level dropped to 1500 and cya down to 10. No big deal considering what everyone else in houston is going through but just shows how about much water we got.

Texas Coast & Inland - Balancing pool w Lot's of Rain

Yes, in the end a messed up pool is nothing compared to devastation others are facing in the Houston area. My hearts go out to them and I hope Harvey gets his butt out of here to offer some relief and hopefully those affected get back on their feet soon.
