Thanks A; I can rotate but cannot remove the clear chamber from the body. Not sure what to do at this point (without potentially breaking it), guess I'll wait to see if Aiper replies.

To follow up, the Aiper died after one use. I recharged until the charger turned green. Tried it this morning and nothing. Totally dead. I just emailed customer service. I am interested to see their response. Will update.

Yeah, I may buckle under too. I have palm trees near my pool; apparently nothing picks them up, but worth a try and is eaiser than pulling a hose across the pool.

FWIW, my 1 new week Active 20 does not get palm(long, skinny) leaves at all. That is about all I have in my pool. Also, the impeller has gotten jammed three times in the last week. The design of these things prevents easy access to the impeller and motor; not sure why they did it it this way...

Thanks for the advice. It's a Coverstar cover. The pool is covered most of the time, opened for use and when we entertain around it. I think a cheaper robot would be my best bet since I don't get much debris.
